And don't get me wrong @Ricky Spanish I get what You're saying, but you're essentially speaking in absolutes, like it's a sin to invest in a QB while you have a QB. I don't agree with that notion.

I think we need a veteran QB to steady the ship while we try to stop the bleeding.

Asking Nix / McCarthy / Penix to come in at 33 and start winning straight away is foolish.

There is no reason to spend even more draft capital or money on ANOTHER QB when we are not 1 QB away from being competitive.

We stick with Young one more year.

Also, I don't think he's as much of a lost cause as you seem to. His decision-making is not as bad as you say, he actually learned throughout the season (Case in point the 2nd Falcons game where he bated Bates on numerous throws so he wouldn't get picked again) and his escapability got better as the season went on and he got used to the game speed of the NFL. The line played like crap, receivers played like crap, the scheme was crap, no one looked good.

It's a big fat N/A for damn near everyone on offense, but no, the backup plan should be the backup QB, which is Dalton, who is a damn good backup and we don't need to waste more assets on another.

If Young shows no improvement next season then we move on and draft a new QB in 2025.

We scored 0 points in the final 2 games. How did he learn and improve again?

I've never known such a poor player get so much support.

People are so beat down that Tepper could hire Jesus or Buddah and people would complain. Folks love to wallow in a pit of negativity for some odd reason.

Have you been in a coma the last 6 years?

Really disappointed the Panthers never tried to go after Harbaugh either of the last 2 years.

Last year, yes. He was practically begging for the job.

This year we had zero chance. He knows better than to hitch his wagon to Bryce Young.

Pretty sure they were tired of the back and forth. The extension they were set to offer was going to include a "no NFL" clause for at least a year or two.

That's all over now of course, and it didn't end in their favor.

They won a National Championship - it worked out great for them.

Maybe Morgan really was the constant dissenter and now he’s clearing out the trash… Probably just hopium

I'm in the same boat - can only hope Morgan has fired him as his first act in charge.

Hated the interview Suleiman gave last offseason (when we were getting ALL the coverage as the holder of the #1 overall pick) where he talked about scouting players. You're the Salary Cap guy, my guy. Stay in your lane.

There's another prior player GM doing really well these days on the west Coast. That's what gives me some hype. See what Dan has to offer. No sense being negative about it.

I mean the best GM of recent years was also a HoF TE.

Doesn't mean Morgan will be good.

It's not even the numbers for me. It's the eye test. If his numbers were bad but he showed elite talent I'd be willing to have more patience but he just hasn't shown NFL talent.

    It's both.

The eye test said don't draft him (small, noodle arm, stacked roster at Alabama). The measurables said don't draft him (5'10", 185lbs).

We now have empirical evidence in hard and fast numbers that he isn't an NFL player - yet still they call for him to start next season. It's maddening.

This is the most logical answer. Spend our resources on trying to create some sort of an offense. Then we can reevaluate Young and decide from there.

But they HAVE spent their resources on trying to create some sort of offence.

FA signings in Hurst, Sanders, Thielen, Chark and a second round pick on Mingo. They were not bad players when we acquired them.

To continue throwing QBs at this roster as a quick fix is insanity. Build a competent offense and reevaluate Young. Honestly I think Sanders might be the guy in the 25 class if it comes to that.

It's insanity to run a guy out there that isn't an NFL calibre player at the most important position in professional sports.

The NFL thinks Andy Dalton is washed - he looked LIGHT YEARS better than Young in his one start.

Young has had 16 games. To quote an amazing film: he has been weighed, he has been measured and he has been found wanting.

I'm genuinely baffled that anyone wants to see anymore of him - albeit I was also genuinely baffled that we traded up and selected him.

He was also the guy in the room telling Fitterer to be patient when it came to drafting DJ Johnson yet Fitterer decided to jump the gun and trade up for him.

I think he was probably one of the only voices of reason in the front office which might be why he's the favorite.

The only person in that room that should be retained is David Tepper - and that's 'cos we can't fire him.

The last three Drafts have been catastrophically bad. The trades have been even worse.

Bryce hasn't had enough time to know he's for sure a bust or not. Get a good coach with the right system in place and then see what he can do. This draft has a lot of possible QBs being drafted in the first round which will be great for us as less other positions will have been drafted at that point.

    He's had 16 games.

His stats so far are in record breaking territory (the bad kind). The only reason that's the case is because he was the #1 overall pick (that we traded 5 premium players for) and he was going to be run out there regardless of performance.

Any other QB performing that badly in NFL history has been benched. Yet some of you think we need more time to evaluate him.

He's clearly a bust. It's a sunk cost - Tepper should understand those. If we want to bring this franchise back to anything approaching respectability we need to hire a GM who plans for a future without Bryce Young starting this offseason.

So in your opinion they SHOULD waste more assets on another QB when they already have one under a rookie contract (That already cost us a ton of assets to acquire) as well as a proven vet starter who has a history of being solid and no first round pick this year?

That's some Fitterer roster building logic.

We don't have an NFL calibre QB under a rookie contract.

Baker Mayfield is a good example of how the system and supporting cast can make a mediocre QB good.  He was not good here with WR Moore and the OL was considered better than average.  The defense was good.  He goes to Tampa Bay, and leads them to a playoff berth and win.  They want him back.

I think Bryce will improve with weapons and in a new system that will probably be designed to accommodate his skill set.   In college, Bryce was good (footwork) when he had time to throw.  The OL will get better when BC and Corbett return, and I think Ekwonu needs an offseason of work on technique and focus.  He had 10 false starts in 2023 and 4 holding penalties--all because he was not confident in his ability to block an edge rusher.  Mechanics will improve this.

Will this be enough for Bryce?  We will find out.

Absolutely bonkers to design the offseason appointments around Young.

Per Albert Breer, he thinks Morgan is the odds on favorite to be GM and he will be paired with an analytics side guy as like a co-GM sorta set up.

Imagine drafting Bryce Young and then getting promoted.

    Talk about failing upwards.
