You think AGMs run the whole show? Ok. GMs and HCs just get coffee and drive players around?

Brother I get what you're doing and I'm giving Morgan the benefit of the doubt at least with this draft. We will know what we have by the end of the year and if he can draft worth a damn.

But as of this moment by definition we are repeating the same rationalizations we made on behalf of Fitterer after Rhule was fired.

The huddle loved the 23 draft.  Whoops.

The huddle in general loved Fitterer's wheeling and dealing.

The huddle has also been wrong about many many prospects they didn't like.

    There's truths all around.

We can only hope for the best.

Rome wasn't built in a day. We all knew before this draft that we weren't going to be able to fix everything. At this point, you just have to trust that they know what they're doing with their board. Why the weeping and gnashing of teeth? AC is our center.

Remember when we rejoiced over Paradis?

Corbett could be the guy we'll see. We've been having to laugh to keep from crying since Ryan Kalil left though. We've really needed to draft one. Can't run from it much longer.

  4. It's interesting seeing some of the same folks screaming at the top of their lungs at others in gameday threads last year that the OL was why Bryce Young struggled so badly are now mocking others for wanting to solidify the center position.

ACL is a non factor anymore with modern sports medicine. I get it, it's an injury and gotta evaluate it, but ACLs just aren't a big deal anymore

I guess it's just not what you want to hear when you trade back up after trading down. Not for an RB. Teams just don't have to draft this position in the early rounds like that anymore.

But hey I'm happy to let him prove to me he was worthy of the pick.

We've got over 200m, a 1st rounder, and a 3rd rd swing tackle/guard invested in in our oline right now and the shortest line to the QB is through a guy that is being moved to center coming off injury. Taking one of the top centers would be the most unPanther thing the Panthers could ever do.

They still better do it if they want to stop being shut out of the end zone like last year.

    Need a backup plan.

Not gonna lie--personally, this would upset me.  There are only a few RBs in the league that rise above the status quo--dime a dozen label--and we had one here, but traded him.  I just do not see a special back that makes me think we would be much better off with him.  No CMCs, no Derrick Henrys.

In hindsight you could make the argument of keeping him. But we still had no franchise QB. Nor did we have a staff in place to utilize him without making him the entire offense to the detriment of the rest of the moving parts. As a result he could not stay healthy here. Then you have the issue that whether he says it publicly or not let's be honest he was at least partially relieved to get back to the city his family has deep roots in. He's where he and they wanted him to be. Can't keep torturing ourselves trying to look back.

I appreciate the thought out response. I’d say this place is not healthy for TheBigKat either. Like I said, there’s a few around who bitch and moan about the same thing over and over no matter the discussion. It’s annoying, and I know for a fact the board loses traffic over it if that is actually a concern. There are definitely many who were once more regular posters here who stay away or have gone to or created other spaces to talk about the Panthers. The bitchers and moaners know they have a platform here.

Any semblance of winning will help alleviate most of what you describe. It's what we all want. We'll see.

We also need a back that can pass block.  Chubba sucks in that area, and his hands are suspect.  So aside from toting the rock, he is a liability--especially when we become one-dimensional as you describe.

RB's are a dime a dozen. If he doesn't do something this season you draft another and keep on drafting them. Not in the first round though.

  10. The argument that him popping up around the city jokingly confronting people is going to help the fanbase is an interesting one.

Years back I finally started to see many new Panthers fans around Charlotte before he bought the team. Now I'm luck to see anyone with Panthers gear.

First order of business should be turning that around.

Last order of business is getting annoyed about criticism. Worry about that when the team actually stops being a doormat and a joke.
