Makes sense w Kirk coming off the injury. Still odd to draft a 24 year old rookie that’s probably going to sit for a couple years

Waiver Wire Black Friday: Which players might become available?
Jackie Lee replied to MHS831's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah I think Dalton already has Heinicke's job. Plus he's had too many seasons for the waiver wire. He'll probably get traded to an injury riddled team. Or if cut just sit around and wait for someone desperate during the season -
I started a preseason thread just for the purpose of keeping an eye on possible waiver wire guys, not only Qb's but those will be the easiest to keep an eye on. 3 games tonight that all have better qb depth than us. I doubt I'm going to watch much of it but if a backup qb is lighting up twitter I'll share it on the thread

Also by the 5th or 6th round you might be looking at 3-5 qb's left worth even giving a shot, and if I liked one I'd much rather go ahead and secure it in the draft and find some back DT in udfa. Much easier to secure a random DT in udfa than one of a few QB's that probably have multiple offers in better landing spots than here

Also Devin Leary with the Ravens, he was available in the 6th round.

Falcons-Dolphins and Steelers-Texans tonight, so lots of Penix,Heinicke, Fields, Kyle Allen I imagine. I think the Texans have some decent qb depth as well

Screw it why not. I wanna keep tabs on how other teams are operating their preseason models and who might be available on the waiver wire because we obviously need upgrades basically everywhere.

It was so bad that Joe Person gave stock up to a guy that didn't even play lol OT Yosh Nijman Diehard fans are likely the only ones familiar with Nijman, the former Packers lineman who helped himself Thursday without even stepping on the field. Nijman has yet to practice at training camp, having started the summer on the physically unable to perform list. So how did the 28-year-old make this list? Well, Nijman’s importance to the offense as the third tackle was magnified by the poor play of the two guys who started at tackle against the Patriots (more on them later). The sooner the 6-foot-7, 314-pound Nijman gets healthy, the better.

It's not really being tough on him, he shouldn't even be on the team. It's on Morgan for not putting any effort into getting someone that at least looked somewhat competent in college for qb3. They could have found someone better if they really wanted to

A bit cryptic from Newton here no surprise, so dunno if he's actually waiting for a presser or not?
