Hey I'm not disagreeing with you it's the market. You have to look at what starting QBs are making. If he is being signed as your starting day 1 QB can you pay him less than 25 a year? I don't think so. Also I don't think your signing him past 2 years so to speak so 30-35 guaranteed sounds about right to me.

Would kenyon sadiq fill 2 needs?

This isn't a ACL tear. I would say his chances of returning to form are great. Maybe he won't be 100% this year but I don't think this injury should change his career trajectory. How is 6'4 42 inch vertical invisible? -
I think supply and demand plays a huge part in it. There are legit no other options this coming season if you aren't taking Mendoza 1 and don't already have a QB on your roster I don't think there are 2 better options than Willis and that's why you will have to pay and provide starter snaps to him. Maybe you can get him a darnold like prove it deal but I don't see any way possible he isn't starting. He played the back up to love this past season. Then when given the chance to start when love went down he looked good. That to me says hey I need a promotion a chance on the big stage.

I don't know that he is a pro bowler but I think he has earned the right to compete for a starting job. I think if he were in this draft he's the number 2 QB behind Mendoza. And his tools are better than Mendoza in terms of arm mobility. That said Mendoza is far more advanced as a passer. I think if I'm one of those QB needy teams that needs a starter this season like are we saying he isn't better than Sanders? I think we are asking is he better than Kyler? I know he's better than Fields. And at this stage in his career he's better than Rodgers. So the idea that he won't start somewhere to me next year I can't see it

Maybe that's because we don't have a good tight end? I don't think anyone we have at tight end warrants the kind of attention Sadiq would. Like talent wise he's on a different planet than probably all our tightens combined -

When has ever having a Great tight end been short sighted? Atlanta didn't need Pitts especially since he didn't look the best in his first 3 years.. yet and still franchise tagged despite having a great offense without Pitts. And let's not act like that's all he is he's more a hybrid than a tight end.. flex out wr kind of guy with 4.3 speed arguably the fastest time ever by a tight end. Add that with a 43 inch vertical and he's not only a take the top off he's a mismatch vs linebackers and a red zone threat. Like what are we talking about "just a tight end" -

I think that's short sighted. We don't know what's gonna happen on March 9th. I imagine they attack edge first and foremost and OL heavily in free agency. Hopefully loyd at middle linebacker. I don't think CB is as big a need as CB. You have Horn, Jackson as locks. I think between wade and the kid who took his job but was injured your okay there. Not really a Need. That leaves us where in a down tight Market, Pitts back to Atlanta maybe Cade Otton? Yeah I lean Kenyon. Yeah we could go tackle but I don't think that pushes us further this season into the playoffs at best we are still functional. With ickey returning I don't like going and drafting a half season starter or stop gap until one player returns or retires. Give me long term value. If you want like a backup guy get a tackle round 3 or later. -

I think pass catcher he checks the box, and vertical threat he's faster than leggette whom we tried to make a take the top off the defense type player. I think it's two birds with one stone sort of. More than that this offense needs juice. We have towering players on offense and north and south RB but none of them are elite at anything really. Adding an Elite speed guy, or Elite power guy I think would give us more ways to attack teams. -
My tailoring green idea was not for him to be the starter but to add some value beyond just a developmental quarterback I think size speed is something Bryce doesn't have he has those and would immediately feel the fourth and one package and possibly red zone and some power packages for us

Do you have against Willis I believe you're around when we have the draft with corral and Willis were on the board and me personally I was banging the table for Willis as early as round one but a lot of people thought corral was better but it's amazing with a little coaching and time can do with me I always go with potential and upside versus oh the guy just plays football you know sometimes that's not enough
-
I know or needs and this probably isn't with a lot of people want but if he's available at 19 I don't think you can discount that he would be the best player on the board I think with 43 speed he's as fast as leggette. 63240 something he would stretch the field Strike fear over the middle of opposing linebackers and also probably cure our long time history of no serviceable tight end since Greg Olsen I think a lot of needs like tackle maybe linebacker could be filled and free agency to the point like they did last year where we fix a lot of this and draft the best player we can on the board. After his combine and the numbers in the 43-in vertical I'm not sure that he will be available but if he is I bet that he's highly considered what say you
-
Just to go back to what you said before you think Willis is fighting for a backup job? When he took over for love the argument was he was already better than love. And his physical tools suggest that. Now primed to head into to free agency as the number 1 QB you think he's going back to the bench? With the cardinals, browns, Steelers and Jets all out of reach of a QB in this draft? I would bet money he starts for one of those franchises day 1. And he's gonna get probably around what Bryce is gonna make this season to do it.

No way that talent goes undrafted

Hypothetical question draft content*

Well I guess he should stop playing football. This was his defining moment and chance to prove he was generational and he failed. What a waste of football life.. -

His talent is borderline generational. He's as fast as Gibbs and 10 pounds heavier. He catches as good as any one and is miles faster than CMC. He's a better pure talent than CMC.. so yeah I would say he's borderline generational -

Edge is the new term for pass rushers. Can be a end or 3-4 backer both their jobs are to get after the qb -

Now why on earth would you set fire to the stadium for drafting a top 5 talent and a better running back than anyone on your roster -
Looks like our beat reporter is already hinting at it.

6'6 227... We are in the market for a backup QB. I say we get one we can develop not only behind bryce but a guy who can come in day one and mask one of our greatest weaknesses. Those 4th and 1 QB sneaks Bryce isn't able to do because of his size. Not only that with 4.36 speed he becomes a gadget rezone short yardage weapon right away. Not to take Bryce off the field but, having the option to bring this guy in to give us a jolt or trickery in the red zone would be outstanding. He doesn't need to be a first round talent, I just want his legs and arm to threaten the field to give us more options. He should be there from round 4-7 at that price getting day 1 help and a guy who could develop long term I think would be a great value. What say you .

Very reasonable level headed take and I agree with everything said nice to meet a fellow draftnik. Now of course I am a Panthers fan first but it oozes over to the draft to figure out what players could help the Panthers win a champion. So I'm a fan of players as well. Love has talent that comes around once every 5-10 years I think. I think he's borderline generational I hesitate to say he's generational but I think he's a rare talent -

I think that goes both ways ask how many wins CMC added to the 49ers or if they even have an offense without him. That said I think love is more gifted than CMC in every aspect except catching the football. -

I agree. That's what I'm hearing and seeing when I watch his clips the way he moves is Reggie bush like. He's a difference maker athletically. We don't have anyone like that on our roster offensively that just moves like an elite change of direction speed type. He's a first rounder for that reason. Now if everyone is saying he's a first rounder based on talent, we aren't bringing back dowdle, we don't know what we have in brooks or if he will be the same when he returns, Chubba is a fine back let's not act like he does anything at an elite level. He's not super fast break away speed or power change of direction. How would love not even be considered? -

I can't see how it's a absolutely not when I have heard more say BPA in 3 different interviews this week. So at number 19 tell me one player who is on the board that is projected to be there better than love who is a to 5 talent in this draft.
