  1. I think the front office has shown they want to surround bryce with the tools to succeed by trading away defensive(and offensive) pieces to put him in the best position to win. Your currently sitting at pick 4 with a real chance of the top 2 picks being QB and new England logically could go LT or Hunter coin flip. If you are on the clock at 4 with a chance to grab a an elite peice for bryce, because let's face it he still doesn't have that. None of our current offensive options are number 1 options on any team. If you want to maximize Bryce I don't see how you go defense at this spot unless the pick is Hunter. With hunter I think he is the only viable pick that can improve both sides of the ball in some fashion. No not a full time starter on both but, you would be a fool to not sprinkle him in on which ever side that is not his main position. I see the love for Graham and I like him but a run stopping defensive tackle in the top 4? Unlikely.. the value just isn't there. He's a great player and if I'm picking between 6-10 he's in the cards. We have seen if you want Jamar Chase, Nabers those type talents they go high... That's what Bryce needs to take the next step. I do love Abdul Carter if hunter goes Number 3 to New England.. but at pick 4 I think those are the only 2 options right now.
  2. Seriously.. after the Brooks News just broke i had to think.. when is the last time we hit in the second round? Off the top of my head the number of second round busts from Clausen to mingo to Marshall to whoever else you want to name is sickening.... what's crazy is most teams find starters in the second round or atleast contributors.. we have 3 that should be on their rookie contract either not on the team or out of the league.
  3. media hype? What kind of nonsense is this .. guy was the number 1 overall player in the nation coming out of highschool.. if you look on any big board he's the number 1 wr and number 1 corner. Yes what headache is he? He hasn't caused any problems to pass on hunter for anyone not a quarterback is ridiculous.
  4. I disagree. Edge is one of the strong points of this draft. Abdul Carter the guy from Georgia, Pierce, this edge group I think is better than last years
  5. This.. didn't the Titans get sweat like in the second round? Guy is one of the best in the league. Hunter is the grand prize of this draft after that edge
  6. Seasons not over yet. Few things can change. If the jags stay at 1 they will trade down for a QB needy team. At that point if we are in the top 5 the cost to move to say 3 I'm all in on.
  7. nobody has said the obvious answer. We are currently top 5. I expect picks 1-2 to go to qbs. At 3 the best player in the draft will come off the board and that's Travis hunter. I don't care if you say we need edge tackle whatever help you think we might need. He is by far the best player in this draft and as close to a sure fire Hall of famer as you can draft. He's that deion Sanders, champ Bailey, Charles woodson rare pick. Honestly if we looking at ability to play both sides of the field I thinks he's overall better than all of those guys. Generational talent. Would trade from 5 to 3 to land that guy easily.
  8. I don't think they can after what they paid Trevor Lawrence. But hey the season isn't over they could win a game or 2 or be willing to trade. If we pick anywhere between 3-5 Hunter is within reach
  9. I think Hunter is the best player in this draft by a mile and helps fix either side of the ball.
  10. I don't see the talent there in the first Sanders sure okay but he's going number 1 after that cam ward.. that's where it gets murky beyond that
  11. Honestly Bryce is a conundrum right now I'm not really sure what we should do with him but I am content on him being the quarterback number one going into next season. I think we should allow him the chance to play out the season to prove that he's the quarterback he can be going into next season. I would not waste a high draft pick on a quarterback because I'm not sure anyone in this up and coming class is as good or has the ceiling that he had with that said I wouldn't throw away the future I would bring in someone like Justin Fields to have him looking over his shoulder and give us a plan b if everything doesn't go right on a one-year deal. I think the priority right now if tepper wants to make a big splash is find a way to get Travis Hunter that would be option 1AA because he helps with both sides of the field either way whatever you need defense or offense. Make that happen and then go mostly defense the rest of the way and we're cooking.
  12. This fan base... Evero lost the best player on the team week 1, traded their best pass rusher in the off season and the guy they hired to start along side clowney just came back this week. The guy has been making wine out of water if you as me. Your asking him to do a lot understaffed. Even if everyone was healthy this team took losses on defense with Frankie luvu and others we were suppose to are a step back. This season isn't on him. I think he's a fantastic young defensive mind.
  13. He wasn't taken until what the 90th pick? What do you mean he wasn't available. Anyone in the 3rd round is available to anyone.
  14. I'm a draft guy.. I feel like you look at every drafted player and personnel decision to see what went right and what went wrong. The decision to have Corral as QB 1 at that point like what made him there quarterback number 1? I believe we need to learn from our history.
  15. Not sure how you come to that conclusion. Bad QBs make the team around you worse or look bad. Look at Skyler Thomas tim Boyle in Miami with those weapons. Levis looks bad. Even Bryce looked bad here and made our weapons look bad. But inserted Dalton and we look like a different team. Willis hasn't thrown an interception and has benefit the weapons around him with his legs. He a plus instead of a hindrance. I think what you will see if he keeps playing solid a team come calling to give him a shot as a starter maybe mami.
  16. the point is he looks like a football player. A team has won 2 games with him at the helm which is all Bryce has done in 18 games. He would have come significantly cheaper as well and has more physical ability than anyone we have on the roster right now. Talent vs investment.
  17. I brought that up as well. The point is more so at how we view QBs.. what traits are we looking at? What makes you take one guy over another. My point was these guys showed elite traits and we settle for guys who might have went to bigger programs but didn't show the same physical ability.
  18. He has played well for the past 2 weeks. Sure he's a backup for now* not saying he's supplanting love. But could he reemerge like darnold and Geno and Mayfield why not? I haven't seen anything to show that he can't be a starter in this league.
  19. fair enough. I'm not sure what was the deal with our second rounder that year. But if you wanted the guy you pass in the first for ickey which okay is fair.. if u wanted him in the second you could have gotten back into the second round and same as the 3rd round when a lot of pundents had him as a first round pick.
  20. Even in a bad QB class you can find useful pieces. Brock Purdy was a after thought. What I'm saying is we passed on Willis multiple times and yes he isn't setting the world on fire but does he look like a NFL qb vs say Corral who can't even get a starting job in the xfl or Canadian league.. yes. As good as Lefluer is as a coach you can't take away from a guy who kept his head down and did the work to improve and his physical talent to get it done with his arm and 74 yards rushing and a touchdown on the ground. That all Willis.
  21. I am thrilled for the win and happy with Andy Dalton in the short term. But banking on a 36 year old QB of the future is fools gold. I'm still looking at potential franchise guys that we failed to identify. We passed on Willis a few times and even chose Corral over him in the 3rd. Yes his rookie season didn't look well coming out of liberty and needed time to develop and green bay got him on the cheap for what a 6-7th round pick? But he has already proven to be better than Corral easily.. and these past 2 games have been better than Bryce easily early into there careers.. can we discuss how we have failed to identify guys who are plus athletes and have the traits to be good vs. taking guys who are "football players" with less talent.
