  1. And there were MANY upsets last week. Only like 4 teams covered the spread. PHI>ATL, PIT>BUF,CIN>MIN,PHO>TEN, HOU>JAC, MIA>NE, NO>GB, LV>BAL
  2. Last year in our first matchup we lost to the Saints 27-24 away. They had 415 yards in 67 plays with an 86% 3rd down conversion rate. DT Kerr, DE Weatherly, LB Whitehead, CB Pride, SS Franklin and FS Boston all started on D. We had 283 yards in 43 plays with a 67% 3rd down conversion rate. On O we started: Teddy at QB, Manhertz at TE, Davis at RB , Reed at LG and Daley at RG. They had 1 sack, 3TFL, 2 QB hits, 1 pass deflection and 0 FF. Teddy went and sat briefly on the their bench during the game, all smiles. https://fb.watch/84ERiQA5Ek/ This is going to be a very different game.
  3. Did you even watch the game? Rankins spent most of the day getting double teamed by Paradis and Daley. smh
  4. I meant 53.5 PFF. Rankins isn't a QB. I edited it, but I guess it didn't take.
  5. So based on the Pass Rush Win Rate, Rankins had an awesome game against our O-line last Sunday. He had 0 sacks, 0 QB hits, 0 tackles for loss, 0 pass deflections, 0 forced fumbles. Oh and he had 0 tackle assists, and 0 solo tackles for a combined ZERO TACKLES. His QBR was 53.5 . But he was #1 in the league in pass rush win rate, which is based on holding the block for 2.5s. Too bad we pass in 2.3s (same as Brady, Mahommes and Stafford and longer than Prescott and Herbert).
  6. Well, we have to keep this new kicker at least 3 weeks on the active roster, so hopefully we landed on the right one.
  7. We cannot literally fumble at the goal line like we did last week and expect to win this game.
  8. He was. Atm he deserves a pat on the back for his performance last Sunday. Thank you Cam Erving.
  9. Me too. We'll see. This will be the first real test of our run-d. We need another great day out of the D-line and the LBs.
  10. Hey thanks. Found it. Panthers QB Sam Darnold’s red zone and clean pocket numbers troubling (usatoday.com)
  11. Wasn't there something in the offseason about him being the worst under pressure? Nicely done Sam.
  12. Hey thanks. Those jets fans sure had a sense a humor. I can't imagine how'd I react. I hated when Ginn scored on us. I might be the rage-quit guy.
  13. @Basbear you are so right. I wish I could pie these multiple times. The very people who say that the o-line is so important and underappreciated are the ones who underappreciate our linemen the most. Next to the Tinderbox, its the worst thing about this place. QWilliams had a higher pff than D Brown with 10 more tackles and SIX more sacks last year. Elflein made him a non factor to a point where Jets fan's were wondering if QWilliams was even playing. One called it the Pat Elflein Revenge Game. I'll say it. Thank you Pat Elflein. Nicely done. There are some of us here who appreciate o-linemen, even if they aren't on our draft board.
  14. I will not miss our QB laughing and smiling on the aints bench during the game.
  15. It would appear that this is our best shot to beat the aints this year, considering their diminished roster atm and home field. I went to the Jets game last week. I'm going to this one. We can beat this team. I'm going full homer: We win 31-28 with Darnold doing a drive with less than 2 mins to set up the winning field goal, and this week's kicker nails it ftw.
  16. I took it as sarcastic, and he was insulting the gm.
  17. Kamara ran for 80 yards, Jones for 50 and Winston for 37. Kamara had 8 yards receiving.
  18. I was curious how the Jets Fanbase reacted when Sam hit Robby for the 57 yarder. https://forums.jetnation.com/topic/161542-2021-week-one-game-thread-jets-vs-panthers-lets-go-jets/?do=findComment&comment=5066770 Rhg1084: Sam to Robby!!! Irish Jet: I’m off to find a nice bridge from which to jump off. Spoot-Face: wait for me, I always wanted to go in a twosome Mark78: Wtf greengeek: Now THAT sucks. JetPotato: When does hockey start? shevys: Nowhere to go but up from here. fullblast: And there it is SAR I: Joe Douglas, genius. carlito1171: Sammy deep shot to Robbie for a TD Perfect SOJ BURN Dunnie: Whelp 2-15 is a very real possibility DJF71: The Jets can't beat 2 teams. kevinc855: Joe Douglass isn’t looking to smart right now sciond: who needs cornerbacks? Jet_Engine1: I'm out. Let me know when this team is worth watching.. Fire JD. He's trash. Out Nick Blitz: Yep sure Jetlife33: I called that one out to my dad, turnover on downs at the 40. Knew they were taking a shot to Robby. That one hurts. TokyoJetsFan: board meltdown in 3...2...1... David Harris: This is embarrassing oatmeal: Our worst nightmare has happened, ty Jets kevinc855:Robbie clearly not worth the money Spoot-Face: Maybe if I wear my Darnold jersey, it'll jinx him? Patriot Killa: Fitting. sourceworx: Meet the new Jets. Same as the old Jets The Crusher: Haha, Perfect. Robby !!!! Wow, we are horrifying. Our kicker punts better than their kicker kicks. I guess that’s nice Arsis: Darnold wasn't the issue. Lmfaoo mrcoops: If only we could have a connection like Darnold to Anderson.
  19. We love to hate on our o-line....call them garbage....represent the players with turds...its a fun fan base. Its Elflein's turn on the coals.
  20. From the jets game day thread: Jets vs Panthers Game Thread - Gang Green Nation sturmand I must of missed the information that Q Williams was sitting this one out. Did he get hurt and I missed it. GreenPapa: So how is Pat freaking elf line not getting beaten like a drum? I can understand their weapons eating our cornerbacks or even their great end beating up on Fant, but how are we not destroying the inside of that line? -------- John B: It's the Pat Elflein Revenge Game.
  21. Based on the win rate, the Jets o-line, which allowed 6 sacks, 10 QBHs, 8 Pass deflections and 1 FF was superior to ours last Sunday. Anybody watching the game, including Jets fans would say BS. I think Zach Wilson would have gladly traded places with Darnold. Would you want to trade O-lines with the jets?
  22. Very true. The jets have invested 2 first round picks in their line with players huddlers have had on their board. LT Becton (74.4 pff) was a 2020 1st Rounder 3rd overall , Vera-Tucker was a '21 1st round guard at pick 14. They brought in Morgan Moses (79.9pff ) who has been a good RT for WFT. Their center and their RG have PFF scores very similar to ours. They did exactly what the huddle has been screaming to do for years with players that many huddlers liked at the time. We had 6 sacks, 10 QBHs, 8 Pass deflections and 1 FF with pressure from all directions, not just at the weak spots. I'm hoping the jets had a decent O-line and we made it look bad. There's no doubt that in my mind that the aints OL is better. The question is, can it withstand our onslaught?
