  1. I love Cam and it is a tragedy the way it ended. Cam asked for a trade. He said the team forced him into asking for a trade. My guess is we "forced him" by not renewing his contract and we wanted him to play his last year on his old one. We also were releasing a lot of his teammates. We had lost the last 8 games he started with his poor play being a factor due to injury. He hadn't started a winning game since 2018 due to his injuries. Cam sat without a team for literally months. We got more for Allen and Bridgewater in trade than we did for Cam, unfortunately. Newton, Winston, Dalton, Flacco were all looking for homes last March. Newton was the last one to find a home, partially because he didn't want to be backup. I don't think Cam realized the concern teams had about his injuries and many, I'm guessing including Cam, were surprised when he couldn't find a home. No one wanted to trade out their crappy QB for Cam. BB saw the opportunity and swept in. Cam had a bad season, but I expect a rebound this year, and Mac is going to sit the bench...I bet longer than anyone expects.
  2. Yes, its very possible. Looks like it will all be worked out at camp. I'm not there yet. We really need to learn to find a way to pay excellent players. I don't understand the purpose of carrying cap space. After the Saints trimmed 100 million off their cap with little damage accept the unavoidable Brees retirement, they then turned around and gave out the highest RT contract in history...they know how to work the cap. We need to learn. We've learned from the Seahawks how to work the draft. We need to learn how to work the cap and keep good players. Its more than just the budget. You want to create a place that players WANT to go to. We don't want to be seen as an org who is going to try to squeeze every last dime and ounce of production out them, then toss them aside. Jenkins was just released by the aints and he turns around says it was the best team he's played for. I did a spit take. Me too.
  3. Hey thanks. And those are the ones he chose to post. Its tough being a corner in the nfl. He's going to take his lumps.
  4. Yes. I know. They like to pretend they have some insight that only they have, that the rest of us don't. They like to celebrate and harp on team misses and screwups. Glad they're here tho. They keep it interesting. Darnold and the Panthers may crash and burn this year. I'd rather spend time hoping Darnold and the team succeeds rather than hoping that they fail so I can be 'right'...even if it means I look like a homer.
  5. Oh he's getting paid, here or somewhere else. Hopefully here. I wonder how much the LT, RT is playing into it since there appears to be a LT premium. I know they are saying they want a long term deal, but he may just end up playing LT on the tag this year and we play long term LT money next year.
  6. So its ok if he did just because he wanted to win?
  7. At least Robbie Anderson, DJ Moore and Jeremey Chinn did well this year. Other than that I hate everything.
  8. This is actually interesting to look at Moton's draft Moton was drafted 64th from Western Michigan U with a RAS of 8.46 and BC was drafted 70th from BYU with a RAS of 9.84 So many people just assume that BC must suck because we drafted him soo late from non p5 school. Just give the guy a chance.
  9. Just saying, this guy hit a bunch of my reactions that it was like he was spying on me. Bucks sign Tom Brady: what? Panthers sign Teddy Bridgewater: WHAT? Luke Kuechly retires: AHHHHH
  10. link:No players planning to opt out of 2021 season? (msn.com) "Only players deemed high risks for developing complications from the coronavirus are eligible for the $350K payout, but with vaccines now in the equation, it is possible no player opts out by Friday’s 3:00 p.m. CT deadline. While a few players have expressed vaccine hesitancy, at least 65% of NFL players have received at least one vaccine dose. The Broncos, Dolphins, Saints and Steelers were close to or had surpassed the 85% mark late last week, according to ESPN.com’s Jeremy Fowler (on Twitter). The Jaguars and Panthers saw a spike in vaccines after the NFL announced this year’s virus protocols, which provide considerably more freedom for vaccinated players. A few hours remain for players to notify teams they will skip this season, but opt-outs — decisions that cannot be changed after this afternoon’s deadline — do not look like a major issue for NFL franchises in 2021. " PS: Please don't derail this thread into another vaccine argument.
  11. Maybe he'll find my hopes and dreams since he sees ghosts.
  12. Hey mom, there's no such thing as voodoo curses right?
  13. To be fair, this board's opinions are all over the place and a big part of the time when we are in sync, we turn out to be wrong.
  14. Are there moral victories in the NFL?
  15. Erving does not play well injured, and he already couldn't participate in OTAs. They said BC at RT....so Moton at LT and BC at RT seems plausible. Guess we'll find out at camp.
