  1. Don’t see why people hate on our WRs so much. We have 2 #1 WRs with Chark and Thielen. Chark has had some injury history but not that major. Thielen has age but can still be a good #1. He was behind the best WR in the game so it was hard for him to put up huge numbers but he still was good.

TMJ could be a number one WR. He’s only played 2 years, didn’t get a lot of playing time but when he did halfway through the season he was good. We don’t know what we have in Mingo but he has a lot of potential.

as long as those 4 stay healthy we should be fine. Even if one misses a few games they could easily replace one another.

shenault and Shi are solid back ups who are young but are fine for 4-5 WR.

why would you want us to trade/sign a older player to a big contract anyhow? We are rebuilding, we need to keep the cap space and grow our own players. How can we have guys like Mingo and TMJ get experience if we sign a vet WR?

Theoretically it’s possible that we and/or the Texans decide to bring our rookie QB along slowly and start the vet Week 1. That would potentially make this an incredibly lackluster season opener, so I’m not sure they’ll take that risk.

I think one reason why we signed Dalton is so we can sit young if he isn’t ready. Hopefully that doesn’t happen though.

Fitt mentioned that we were waiting for the XFL to complete to go after more players for the roster in a recent radio interview. This morning I started looking for good ways to keep up with the XFL weekly without devoting more than 30min of my life.... I stumbled acorss this YT content creator, and its awesome. Let me know if you all have other ways to keep track of the talent coming out of the XFL.... sounds like it will become a future farm league for the NFL based on how well it performed this year.

Lmao I actually ran across and watched his playoff video yesterday

  4. Funny I’ve seen draft comparisons of Mingo to Shenault. I wouldn’t be surprised if Shenault gets cut if we have a younger version of him. Last year I thought he would have made a good 3rd down RB who can catch the ball or used for short yardage. Why not? At least see how he does in practice and preseason.

Was hoping to see a TE being picked up by the Panthers.  Hopefully it isn't too late.

As much as I would love a TE, why would we need one? They will probably just end up on the practice squad and if they are any good they will get picked up by another team. We have Hurst, Thomas and Tremble. Those guys would have to get cut which is highly unlikely. We also have Ricci and Sullivan who have experience who would battle for the 4th spot (if we keep 4 te). Not drafting a te might actually be a smart thing after all. Wait until Ian Thomas contract expires, also by then we should know if Tremble is worth keeping or moving on from. So we could draft replacements then. Also TE is a position that usually takes time for a player to develop. Even your monster TEs didn’t start out with 800 yard seasons.

his fall is reminiscent of another former panther Robert Lester. Was getting hype as a round 1 pick all year and then when the draft process started his stock just started tanking

Robert Lester was a projected first round pick? I actually had high hopes for him after his rookie season. Sad he didn’t last long. Ahhh the good old days when we had UDFA rookies staring in our secondary.

Matt Corral is 6'1 215 pounds and he looked small in preseason. It was like he was being swallowed up by the pocket, and I kept thinking "he's going to get hurt." Then he got hurt trying to run for his life. Young is 5'10 190 pounds, and I can't even imagine how small he's going to look behind our enormous o-line. Our center is 6'5, and you know our tackles are basically the largest humans on Earth that can still play a sport. I can't help but wonder if the Panthers are actually taking Young, but all signs do point to him being the selection.

Bro you act like someone a few inches shorter is such a big deal.

Flag won't save him if this man hits him it'll only get you a few yards but your qb will be broken. Which is why you need someone to stand tall get the ball out quick and not run around like a chicken with his head cut off..won't work in the pros guys are too fast

Yeah because Young has never been hit by a 300 pound defensive linemen before smh

Imagine not being able to understand that some people have concerns about his size?

And you are right, nobody complained about the height of our 3rd string QB last year.

I hope Young tears is up next year, but I also thinks it is ok to have some concerns about his height and weight.

Yeah it the concerns are unfounded, people have posted the data. It’s ignorance.

  10. Imagine thinking a 5’10 QBs can’t make it in the nfl when you have Kyler Murray and Russ. Drew Brees was a HOF. No one complained about height when PJ Walker was playing for us last year.

the nfl has had plenty of short QBs make it and even at times when the QB wasn’t even protected like today. You really think an inch or two is going to make that big of a difference?

here’s a list of some short QBs. You had 5’7 qbs play in the NFL and play well at a time when you could do whatever you wanted to a qb https://www.stadiumtalk.com/s/shortest-nfl-quarterbacks-8520e8f1a56a4a79

will someone please tell Fitt and Reich that height is by far the most important feature for a QB, because they seem to be wasting their time on traits like ability to read a D, accuracy, and escapability. Fugging idiots!

    angry mark sheppard GIF

And people seem to forget that Cam had all sorts of batted passes. Never mind it wasn’t a factor for Bryce in the SEC which is loaded with NFL defensive talent. Never mind he’s only 10 pounds lighter than CJ despite being 4 inches shorter, never mind there’s been nfl QBs the same size that were fine.

  12. I wish they had limits on what players could get paid. If they are going to have caps then why not limits? Also they should make it to where teams resigning players they drafted don’t cost as much against the cap. I would love if they did something to where you could cancel contracts if a player gets hurt or doesn’t play up to expectations and it won’t hurt the cap.

  13. For those acting like the S2 must not be that big of a deal because it’s been around since 2015, well I don’t think you’ve given it much thought. It would take years for the nfl to take it seriously because you would need for a player to play for a few years and need multiple draft classes so you can look at the data more. It probably took years for people to even take it seriously and I am sure a lot of your older front office people wouldn’t take something new seriously.
