  1. It's not just for some reason. He has horrible hands. His rookie season he had 7 drops on 37 targets for a drop rate of almost 20%. He was only targeted 17 times out of the backfield last season and still had a drop. He also had as many fumbles as he did touchdowns last season (2). He's supposed to be a track star but we've all seen him ran down from behind by LBs on breakaways (CMC was criticized for the same thing). This isn't to say that Chuba is a lost cause. He has shown growth and development. So long as that continues he'll finish his rookie contract with the team.
  2. It would go pretty much like it does here. A third of the people will rage, another third won't care, and the final third will be okay with it. *looks at X/Twitter*
  3. They already picked up a camp body CB since Mabin and one of the other CBs are hurt. I think that they roll with Hubbard/Blackshear/Brown and if there's concerns with Chuba then they might start kicking tires.
  4. 1) Improvement from the OL 2) Improvement from the DL 3) A back-up pass rusher stepping up
  5. Was this the one you were super excited about a few weeks ago? Great pick-up!
  6. All of the mic'd up moments did not prepare me for this. I thought Sam Franklin Jr just stayed talking trash and would be funny as Hell, but I didn't expect him to be that funny and personable. Sam: "He got an old name. You really supposed to be born in the 80s." JJ: "You know I was born in the 80s, right?"
  7. Now if Leonard Fournette wants to sign for $2M to just be the power back...... But then that means cutting depth in a position of need like OL, DB, DL, or EDGE
  8. I don't believe that both would have signed here for a combined $4.555M knowing that they'd be splitting carries. That does nothing for their value besides tank it. Then there's the fact that Miles Sanders fits Reich's predominantly zone run system that likes to stress the edges. If it was going to be focused on running power then I'd take Foreman all day over Sanders at $2M. Heck, I'd still take Foreman for $2M in a predominantly zone scheme but with Sanders' ability as a receiver out of the backfield (which Bryce depended on with Gibbs back in Bama) and being better at stressing the edge I can't be mad at the current RB room.
  9. ngl, I'm honestly impressed by the energy you two have to keep this going the entire day. Ole boys still got some fight in them.
  10. Huddle: "They should have paid D'onta Foreman just $2M instead of the absurd $2.555M they're paying Miles Sanders for 2023 - 2024!!!"" Reality:
  11. Do you recall when that play took place? I just watched all three of the first offensive series that Christensen participated in (he didn't play after that) and he wasn't beaten by a single stunt. In fact, he picked up three stunts including the one Icky missed. The only two negative plays were a play where he got pushed back a yard but went no further and another play where he got pushed back a good bit but wasn't the reason for the sack. EDIT: I think that you're mistaking Christensen for Mays. During the first preseason game Bryce gets hit on the overthrow to DJ Chark. The hit came as a result of Cade Mays not picking up the stunt. That might have been what you saw.
  12. Nolan Smith opposite of Burns would have been insane to watch. TE depth might actually be worth a damn this year too! Mingo + TMJ developing into a solid WR duo would be incredible though. Very eager to see how that works out. The team has a decent enough core to where if some of these young guys show out in the next year or two they're going to be a part of the window. If not, replace em with somebody that can get the job done for QB1.
  13. Christensen picked up the man moving inside. It was Icky that got beat. Unless you're calling out a later play that got Christensen ofc (I'm not recalling any, but plan on watching the all-22 during meetings today )
  14. Chandler Zavala allowing Brady Christensen to kick over to RG might be the move until Corbett comes back.
  15. Yall do know that Vark is a Florida homer, right? Every single one of these articles blasts the OL with the exception of lazy blurbs written from statline lurking. Did you read them before sharing?
  16. I'm not sure if we are talking about the same Brian Burns re: run defense. The Brian Burns I'm talking about is the football player that was #7 in the league for TFLs while also racking up 12.5 sacks in a college defense.
  17. Going to need some more beef on the defensive line with Derrick Brown. If Tuttle, McCall, or Williams steps up that'd be a huge boost. Frankie and Shaq looked great at ILB. Put Burns and Houston on the outside instead of giving YGM all of the chances in the world to do nothing while Chinn is roaming wherever they put him and that run defense instantly looks better.
  18. Definitely looked like a guy that hadn't played football in over a year while being stuck behind OLs that couldn't pass protect. He didn't look helpless though, so that's a plus. He also never gave up. A big part of his game that's missing is the mental side (progressions, staying calm, etc) which Bryce is already doing as advertised. Corral is going to have a stronger arm and better athleticism, but that stuff won't matter if he's going to be inaccurate and panicked.
  19. The defense impressed me despite the scoreboard and vanilla game plan. Uce, Shaq, DBrown, and Kamu are all ready to go. Barno + Williams popped up a couple of times last night while Rowe, Franklin Jr, and Henderson all flashed. The offensive line was abysmal. I'm especially disappointed in Icky's play. I'm also worried/concerned over Michael Jordan still being on the roster. There is also ZERO depth behind Icky & Moton rn so it's going to be vital to the team's success that those two remain healthy and not have bad days like the recent one.
  20. Some of the people in this thread that regularly comment on QB evaluations have done everything they can to make sure that they're ignored going forward.
  21. Rough stat, even for a preseason game
