  1. Fitterer gathering draft picks for the next head coach since we only had a 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th. This will now give them a 1st (likely #1 overall), 2nd, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 4th, and 5th. So instead of walking into a team with nothing, that head coach is going to have a defense that includes Brown, Burns (hopefully), Chinn, Horn, Luvu, Woods, and Jackson as well as a decent special teams unit. They're going to have an OL that they can build behind, a 3rd round pick in Corral who some had 1st round grades on. They've got DJ Moore on a fair contract for the team and the player. Instead of getting the usual 1st - 7th round selections, they lose a 6th + 7th but gain a 2nd + 4th while also having the #1 overall pick to do what they want with (whether it be QB, DE, or trade down)? Tepper's shown to be patient. Get the right people in the room to make the decision, and the Carolina HC position could become a little more attractive This poo still is fuging gutting tho T_T
  2. Been one of the biggest Shaq supporters (and general optimists) on the board and even I can see the writing on the wall. Outside of another restructure for what will be a 29yr old LB next season, I don't see them keeping Shaq. I hope I'm wrong, but we also have Brandon Smith that I thought was brought in as a replacement. Whether or not he gets a chance to play and shows that he can fill those cleats though we will have to wait and see.
  3. Brandon Smith and Terrace Marshall Jr developing would be a big, big boost for this team's future
  4. Considering that Zac Taylor was the first of the "McVays" to get signed in 2019 and he got the Bengals to the Super Bowl last year, I'd say they're paying off.
  5. To be fair, McVay just won the Super Bowl after being hired in 2017. That'd be a more appropriate question after this year though.
  6. Agreed on all points made about the prospects with the exception of Hooker. He's made some impressive throws in the couple of games I've watched so far. I'm excited to check out the TCU game as well. When I saw Max Duggan's stat line a few weeks ago, I got curious and checked out the TCU vs. Oklahoma game. That dude is fun to watch. I've got to catch him vs. Kansas + Oklahoma State still.
  7. Stroud by far. Bryce Young is fun to watch in college, but I have doubts about his ability to transition to the pros due to his size. I do love how he goes through his progressions and looks to extend the play to complete the pass downfield rather than scramble for a couple. Sick as a dog today and was out of town on Saturday, so I'm trying to get through the Bama/Tenn game while waiting for the soup to finish heating up. I know folks don't like Hooker because he'll be 25 when he's drafted, but I'm going to have concerns if he looks like the clearly better QB in that game.
  8. I think it's safe to say that Ron shouldn't be allowed near any team that wants to compete in today's NFL, especially if they have a young QB to develop. Having a head coach that cosigns head shots against you while demanding that you execute an offense with zero adjustments does not sound like a fun time.
  9. Seeing the Rams get the call that Cotchery couldn't to win this game makes it sting extra
  10. CMC and Derrick Brown still trying to win this thing
  11. Not sure who's had the worst performance today: the Panthers or the officiating crew
  12. On a positive note, that #1 overall pick looks pretty safe.
  13. Holy poo, I forgot how bad the early 90s Seahawks were until that stat. 40 losses in a row with the opponent scoring more than 17pts... yeeeeeesh
  14. Oh damn, did Taylor get away with that one!?
  15. Wait... THAT'S A foul but the fuging suplex wasn't!?
  16. Rams look like they woke up for this drive. Hopefully the DL keeps getting after it to take the pressure off of the secondary.
  17. On a plus note, maybe this means that McAdoo is going to be running a power run game to set up play action instead of Rhule having him force Baker or whoever rides out the season at QB to run the RPO?
  18. Ah, so THAT was why they ran the clock out to end the half...
  19. Who was that getting into it with the Rams DL? Corbett or Elflein?
  20. Let's go defense!!! Big Derrick Brown getting PJ and the offense back the ball to start the half is big. Let's see if McAdoo can call a drive that will result in a 10pt lead
