99.9 is having the convo right now and I agree with them. Why are we so stingy with our players and money? It hasn’t worked yet on winning a cup or even getting to it. They agree on Pono and Nikisin but others, if it makes you better and nets you a cup, you have to do it. Settling for bargains isn’t working. It’s time to pull the trigger on the guy from Pittsburgh or the dude from The ducks. Sorry I’m lazy and not looking up how to spell their names. But you make that move. If it’s expensive but nets a cup and a parade downtown Raleigh you do it. At some point, this window will pass and if a cup or 2 isn’t won with this group and rod, it will go down as one of the greatest blunders in NC sports. Like 2015 panthers over and over and over.

He definitely isn’t playing anywhere close to his contract. When he plays, he looks like his confidence is gone. Unfortunately, unless we can get a third team involved to eat some of his salary in exchange for a pick, like the trade we were a part of last week for a 6th round pick, we eat salary, he isn’t going anywhere. I bet, if anything, if we make trades, he is a healthy scratch. Truthfully, I’ve met KK twice. Very nice kid but he is the least productive player on the active roster and getting paid like a top player. The let Trocheck go in hopes KK would be that guy. Hindsight, they should have signed Troch and let KK play his way into a good contract Unfortunately, nice players that aren’t playing well don’t win you cups. It’s a business and we gotta make moves if we wanna win it all this year.

Honesty man, you and I aren’t too dissimilar. I used to preach all the time to not tell me how to be a fan. I can’t stand it actually. Be how you want to be. There isn’t one way to be fan is what I used to say on the main forum and to anyone that told me what you said. As far as the positivity thing, a few years back, I was battling a pretty nasty sickness that almost got me. I won’t get into details. But, when I beat it, I was overtly positive about everything Including things that give me joy like the canes. ESP since they finally started playing well. Just to offer some perspective. Not looking for a sympathy btw, being able to be here and make Gameday threads to talk about games is good enough for me and a privilege. And if that brings us canes fans together, I’m all for it. I would also say, don’t write people off because you don’t know what they are going though. But I can certainly see your point of view and your why. If you are willing to have a fun canes or god forbid panthers dialog I’m always open to it. My Intention isn’t run anyone off, so if I did, it’s on me. Anyways, hope this clears up some stuff. I agree on Jarvy but not on KK. I don’t believe this team views him as staals replacement anymore. They used to buy the fact that he has been getting 5 minutes of ice time lately, and his poor play, I bet he is trade bait, sent to the AHL, or most likely a healthy scratch for game. All assuming we make a trade this week. With KK, defense is fine but you MUST have offense from your 2nd line center.

I believe they know it. They have to. KK is a major reason we can’t score when they need it.

Yeah 10-18 was some bad bad times. We wondered if the canes would end up getting sold again. I remember games with 1500 people in the stands. I think those years made us appreciate what we have now. Unfortunately, now it’s time to take the next step of cup winner before it’s too late. Those lean years could come back anytime and we wasted our big guns windows.
