I cannot imagine still having to carry young’s jock after a game like today.

Missed you last week Chuck (not really) did you have fun burying your head in the sand? I know you were praying for a game like today last week so you could sprout back up and start spewing your nonsense again. Glad to have you back chuckles.

Stats don’t tell the stories and mislead

Trevor had worse talent around him.  Trevor had a worse coach. Lawrence also wasn’t playing check down small ball as a rookie like Bryce.

When the season ends, odds are Bryce only is going to of edged out Trevor in throwing less picks.   That’s largely because Bryce doesn’t throw downfield.  That’s not edging him out across the board.

    Lawrence had more rush yardage

Lawrence had way more passing yardage

With one game to go, behind him in pass TDs and rush TDs.

identical pass % despite playing 2 different games (aggressive vs check down)

Lawerence took way less sacks partially due to his size and he gets the ball out in rhythm better than Bryce does.

just because they had disappointing rookie years doesn’t make them comparable.  Trevor was still lab built for the NFL.  Bryce isn’t.   Way more to be worried about here.

Ah, yes. Trevor Lawrence took 30 less sacks his rookie year because he's tall and throws the ball super fast. But Trevor also some how had worse talent around him? Despite being sacked 30 times less and also having some of the same WRs that Bryce currently has? But he had it worse. Ok lol. Do you guys even think when you come up with this nonsense or is it strictly emotionally charged?

    This is absolutely not true.

Arguable? Forsure. Absolutely not true? Not a fuging chance in hell. The Panthers Oline is 10000000000% in the discussion for worst in the NFL. 10000000%

    And that's probably about right.

The guy just doesn't impact / change games.  More often than not, you see him getting ridden around behind the QB - when he even gets close.

He doesn't get sacks, he doesn't really make a lot of tackles . . . and if you're counting on another player to "unlock" him that's dead solid evidence he's not a game changer.

Honestly, I think he'd be better of as a situational pass rusher.  He doesn't defend the run very well so don't have him in there.

Maybe if he's still here, next year will show us something different.  This is our first year in the 3-4 and that's never an easy transition.  We've had a ton of injuries.  I'm curious if he finally figures it out . . . but not at top money.

That's the thing though. Evero's scheme should be a dream for a player like Burns. I'm sure Evero didn't anticipate a TE being able to take Burns out of the game every play but yea this was supposed to benefit him and he's only gotten worse. Fitterer should be fired based on how he handled CMC/DJ/Burns alone. He kept the worst player of the 3 and traded two marquee weapons that could help develop your rookie QB. Bad, bad, bad.

Jensen literally got a 0 in pass blocking

I called it. Part of the reason Bryce and the offense were struggling the first part of the game. Not that Bryce shouldn't have completed some of those passes, he could have but the constant pressure from the RG was inexcusable idk how they thought he'd be the starter all week over Gabe Jackson. Once that switch was made it was night and day difference

Gave up 500 yds last week to baker and made a giants backup qb look like tom brady but hey dont mention how bad the defenses are... you can only do that with andy dalton and other qbs.

I mean you ask anyone around here last week and they'd tell you BY would struggle to put up 200 yards against a college defense. Baby steps. Yesterday was a big day for Bryce and our offense. Hopefully it's a sign of things go come

Speaking of Baker just had a perfect passer ratings against the Packers last week. 381 yards and 4 td's. Bryce had a good game but he's gonna have to do it again against Tampa. Also since we've already played them once it'll be easier to get an idea of what changes have or haven't benefited the offense since the first game. On another note Tabor seems like he's possibly the best in game manager we've had in recent memory though lol.

Tabor was fired up and got in the refs ear a few times that game. Haven't seen that from a Panthers HC in a long long time.

Again. It took Bryce Young 3 months to replicate Dalton's game. Andy was running a Reich offense with the same pieces on the road. Minus newcomer Smith Marsette. And 33 rushing yards from his backfield.

See you're already applying revisionist history saying he was far from the biggest thing holding the team back when you omit the really bad turnovers. Multiple pick sixes in one game? Before today several backup undrafted QB's had been outperforming Bryce Young. It's okay to talk about this. It's okay to expect today from Bryce Young more often. He's a #1 pick. If he listened to any of you he would never improve. That's a gut check for ya.

Dalton threw the ball 58 fuging times to get those numbers...lol 58 times. That's almost 3 full games of Bryce's attempts in 1 game and he barely got over 300. Not nearly as good as you guys are trying so hard to make it out to be. 58 attempts. sheesh.

On some plays yeah but he missed a couple of throws without pressure that should be made. Again though, both sides came out flat, not just him singularly.

Even with pressure I would have liked to see him complete some of those passes. I feel like the one to Sanders would have been complete if it was thrown to any of our other backs besides Sanders. But it is what it is. Nash Jensen was god fuging awful though you guys should really rewatch him I wouldn't be surprised to see a 0.0 grade by PFF for his 2 series he played.

You aren’t making a connection between what we watched all year and his abilities. Or the limitations imposed by his skill set. Those aren’t in question and don’t need answering. We should discuss what he Can do.

    What does that look like?

Today that was 65% completion 312 yards 2 TDS and 0 INTS. Any other questions?

Why go through that pain? We know he sucks. You are now forcing a second coach to try ands make him into something.

No matter how bad it's been you can't argue that the situation he was brought into was way way less than ideal for a rookie QB. Ontop of that you have the investment. He wasn't just a #1 overall pick but a #1 overall pick that we traded up for. Got to see Young with some solid coaching and talent around him before you can pull the plug. If he was in an offense like Zach Wilson has been in the last 2 years and still looks bad, that is when you pull the plug.

Talent still shows. That's the part y'all don't want to acknowledge. Even in a complete poo show you can recognize talent. Where's the flashes of talent? Not stats, not wins, just those plays that make you say, "Yeah, this guy shows something. I can see him being that dude in the right situation." In 13 starts how many plays has he honestly made that you wouldn't expect pretty much any roster caliber NFL QB to be able to make?

That's my concern. I'm not seeing flashes of the talent that can lift a team. Bryce looks like the type of guy who is never going to add digits to the win column. He'll get you as far as the team around him can carry him. Other teams call those types of guys replacement level backups.

That's not necessarily true. Our 2 wins came on the back of him leading 2 GW drives and those drives featured some pretty good throws by him. He needs to do that consistently. And as the situation improves around him I believe we will see it more consistently. I know we won't ever see eye to eye on this though and we can table this discussion for next season (yay!) Because that will ultimately tell if he's going to be successful here or not. Another season like this and its all but over for Young as a Panther even if it's only 2 seasons if it's another year like this year we will be in prime position for a QB in '25.

I honestly don't. I'd feel differently if I was seeing signs of NFL talent but when everyone who takes the field at QB in the NFL whether it's UDFAs, backups, or 3rd stringers look like they have a higher level of raw talent than our #1 overall pick that pill is bitter as fug.

Rookie mistakes I can deal with. They happen. But you want to see flashes of that high level talent. You can't develop that.

And there is absolutely no chance that ALL of those back ups and 3rd stringers you talk about are in better situations with a better functioning coaching staff than Bryce currently? Bryce would look just as horrible if he were on any other team than this one? Idk man. This franchise has been trash for awhile now. Look at Baker Mayfield. He was trash and did not look like an NFL QB when he was with us last year and some how he's having a pro bowl year with the fuging Bucs of all teams. Even when he went to the Rams last year he had some solid performances. I really thing this organization is a gigantic poo show and Bryce isnt good enough to overcome that
