  1. You are right. And it doesn’t speak well of them.
  2. I don’t really much watch the Super Bowl anymore. Especially when the same team is always in it. Sometimes. But for all those reasons that tie in with that generally obscenely overproduced halftime show, I care less and less. We have had some good contests. But with all that stuff and Taylor Swift and the whole thing I barely paid attention to it last year. So often it is about the commercials and the halftime show and the game is just meh. The conference championship weekend, generally, is where the real Super Bowl is played. At least as often as not. I think that the Rams Seattle game had the two best teams in it.
  3. My uneducated eye saw him as close after Wilks got him back in. Wilks was very protective of him I thought, didn’t rush him and didn’t ask too much from him at first. I thought he let him get his feet under him. I will bet you Reich could really have helped him. Instead of making that trade and putting Sam out, we should have stayed with him with a real NFL coach. Reich was a good QB coach. You can call his offenses bland but he knew QBs. I have been so angry with the team.. mainly Tepper I guess, for forcing this unnecessary hardship on us.
  4. With you on the first paragraph. Want a vet LB that can play fast out of the gate, these young guys have to think too much. We need at least one good veteran upgrade there and if we can draft a promising player to pair up with a vet, so much the better. Do the best we can at edge, just don’t force it too hard if it doesn’t fall our way. Now, Coker? He got what, 140, 150 yards in his first playoff game? We can hold off on upgrading him for my money. I yield to the people who have been asking for the speed factor at WR. Get someone cat quick who can juke someone, and get up after a hit. If possible. I really hardly care that about TE. No high picks on one please. There should be a lot of them out there, sign one.
  5. I have to say, whatever the reason was, Baker was not good here, there was little indication he was gonna be good. Other than that I pretty much blame Tepper for the first 7 years of his stewardship being pure misery and full of fugtardedness. Things were finally somewhat improved upon in year 8. No coach under Tepper even smelled 8 wins before. And that coach did it with Bryce Young. While most people hated on him.
  6. I begrudgingly accept the 5th year option only because the 5th year is not guaranteed. We can get out after next year if he doesn’t throw down. History says he will not demonstrate his worthiness most of the year and then near the end he will somehow do just enough to keep the flame burning. I feel like we are really and truly stuck.
  7. That’s if you draft the wrong quarterback. Patriots aren’t having to do that. They are straight in year two. I suppose you could argue that they did draft the wrong one and then built like you said. The difference is, if that were the case, they moved on from their mistake. That’s what I am thinking about that.
  8. Yeah. That start to his career was about as bad as it can get. In New York, Meat grinder press corps, of the first degree, When he came here he was on OC 3 - in year 3. And people in this fan base that think they are smart, could not take that stuff into account. Now, most of the smart ones are not Bryce Stans but Bryce gets 4 damned years free pass. At least 3 The fail of the organization AND fan base in general, fuging shamefully short sighted, And the choking thing, players have to fail before they succeed. With very few exceptions. Last year was really his first meaningful, high stakes game. Okay, he didn’t play well. They learn from that, or are supposed to. You don’t throw out a guy with all those tools and with his rocky did him no favors background for not being perfect right away. He might suck in the SB, but he proved a ton this year. If we’d have had any patience he was the guy to use it on, not Bryce Young.
  9. Your last paragraph, painful. We suffered it all with Rhule and Fitterer and were rewarded with Bryce. I’ll stop there, I have made hundreds of posts that say what I would say if I continued.
  10. It is so depressing. The last three years, with the exception of a few games, have been sheer misery.
  11. 33 million per extension for Bryce Young makes me nauseas.
  12. No he wasn’t but that last stretch with Wilks, you could see that he was close on a lot of stuff. At least I thought so.
  13. I have to agree. Tepper looks pretty bad, but Minnesota and that staff/FO look like fools. As far as taking a year off with Shanahan, I’m not convinced the down alone time helped him. Picture him with hands on Shanahan coaching and that team around him and the reps he would have had, if he played. I think maybe it works out for him that way as well.
  14. He has a high level of ability. Without that, all the grit and determination in the world would not have him where he is. PS When you pick a QB, and you settle for lesser talent, you normally get less.
  15. I mean, take a look at those QB stat lines. Both of them near as even as you can get. .2 difference in rating. No picks. Over 700 yards between them, 3 TDs apiece. That is what a big boy QB can do for you. If the Rams had better defense they might have pulled it out.
  16. Stafford once threw it 78 yards in the air. Said he can probably still do 68. But I bet the game ends while I am typing.
  17. Well, we were able to burn the Rams D. And we got 54 yards passing vs Seattle. At home. What should that tell you?
  18. This happens so often. My favorite weekend of the NFL season. This is really the Super Bowl. The two best teams are playing right now and the big spectacle will be anticlimactic.
  19. You have to look at what happened with him. I think it was three seasons at least where he was forced to deal with a new system and OC. As a young inexperienced player. How are you supposed to thrive going through that poo? In the long run it helped him, because he had been exposed to so much different stuff. And has some more experience. He can go to a new place and adapt quicker because of that experience. But when you first go through all of that it turns your head around. If he didn’t have the talent he has, he would not have succeeded. If you couldn’t see the talent he has, well you are failing, that was us.
  20. That is the difference. When we can do to them what we did, it is a tell. They have a problem.
  21. Hey man, fug you for saying that. The point was that Caleb has the tools that Bryce will never have. Now I am done don’t talk to me about this stupid poo anymore.
  22. Unless you were one of the torch bearing crowd claiming Bryce would have had the same record as Stroud if all that was different was he was in Texas and Stroud was in Charlotte, it has nothing to do with your claim, other than blind player stanning. Which was the comparison. That what you claim is equally based in fanning not reality.
  23. You can count me among those who don’t buy into it being about Cam. It was just so much Bryce hype and blind acceptance of the narrative. It was a Psyop. Bryce did well in places this year but he should never ever ever have been the 1.1.
  24. Well, if they are trading him, Morgan got good value for AT. Good value for the misfit locker room cancer Johnson, didn’t he? Pretty good value for the 7th rounder he swapped to Seattle for Jackson. That doesn’t guarantee anything but it is worth noting.
