Legitimately in the conversation for #1 overall. Reminds me very much of Caleb Williams. Similar physical makeup, similar creativity, similar arm. But also similar in that he holds the ball forever and takes some risks that may be exploited against him at the next level. Either way, he clearly has the makings of a potential #1 overall IMO.

They're probably hoping he'll be a fairly coveted FA option for QB desperate teams and try to pocket a comp pick. Despite my PTSD I wouldn't be completely opposed to bringing Darnold back as a bridge guy.

Louisville dodged a big bullet there with Ward barely missing an open down field receiver. If they connect on that Miami is probably going into half up at least 13 if not 17. Instead Louisville has a chance to potentially make it a one score game.

Potential danger zone for Louisville. Missed 50+ yard FG gives Miami great field position already up 10 with 1:38 left to play in the half.

Huge mistake by Louisville leads to a Miami fumble return for a TD. Hold on a punt return puts them on the saddle of their on goalline then their star freshman RB coughs it up.

What an idiotic play call from Louisville getting their star freshman RB murdered on 3rd and 3 trying to run a wildcat. They have a good college QB. Why are you so telegraphing yourself running a wildcat? Wildcat formations are for teams with trash QB play.

Damn. That was a helluva TD throw from Ward. He's basically Caleb Williams. Holds the ball forever. Good escapability. Very good arm. He's boom or bust. It's either gonna really translate or really not.

43 yard Louisville TD run. That looked like UNC defense. Not sure a Miami defender got within five yards of the RB.

Miami shoots themselves in the foot repeatedly with penalties to kill their drive. TD on 3rd and 6 turns into 3rd and 21 after offensive pass interference turns into 3rd and 26 after a false start turns into a 55 yard FG after a Ward scramble. That Miami kicker is definitely playing in the NFL. That 55 yarder would've been good from 70. Good grief.
