This and Kool Aid or Cooper over the RB

The RB was not going to make it past Dallas. He wasn't going to make it to the 3rd round. The Giants were trying to jump Dallas to take Brooks. We managed to jump them both to take him for what it's worth. Who knows how it will work out but at least 2 other teams thought he was worth a 2nd round pick so it's not a reach unless you think the best RB in the class is not worth it. It's all subjective opinions anyway.

Yeah that’s why I am curious to see these offensive players in a new system. Tremble, Mingo, Bryce, hell even Miles could look a good bit better naturally.
Tremble in the H-Back blocking role with Sanders (TE) in a double TE set could be interesting for some plays.

That offense last year was so predictable. I really don't know what the strategy was in the end. Did Frank not trust his qb? Did he not want the qb they selected? Did he not want a rookie at all? What the actual fug was the plan? He wasn't going to work on his qb's mechanics until year 2? What the actual fug is that kind of development? I have never seen a team go so sideways as this team did last year. I mean they weren't winning much anyway because the rest of the team was ass but damn! At least do something to show you give a damn.

Really happy with what we did.

Gonna be weak on the d-line after trading Burns, but we added a high end potential playmaker and a future 2.

Gilmore is coming. They know Jaycee is risky and the depth behind is not survivable.

They will not miss a beat without Burns. You just wait and see.

100%. I remember Reich calling the screen to AT when he was on the bench and had to use a time out lol.

Yeah about that. What a FUBAR system that was. It appears Thielen was the only receiver Frank seem to be the primary read on damn near every play. It's either that or his was the only one consistently getting open.  It was like everyone else were decoys. I don't want to see an offense like that ever again.

This team is being set up to run 35-40 times a game. Passing when not off play action will be quick half field reads as much as possible. Most of the game he’s going to be handing the ball off and making one/two read progressions off play action.

that’s what I meant by hiding him. They’ve already said they will need all three rb’s and all will see the field.

You don't know that. They have brought in too many pass catchers to run the ball that much. It will be as close to a 50/50 split as possible.  The opponents will have more to do with it than them trying to hide Young. If you haven't noticed the run game was complete ass. You have to be able to run the ball at will to consistently win in this league.

It's not easy. But I have a choice and I have to decide whether or not it's worth it. I have to say it is.

I don't stress over things i have no control over. I don't worry about them. Life has enough things to stress over. I want to have fun being a fan and I want to find things about it to make me feel good about it, so I do.

If it's not fun, then why bother with it? There's got to be other stuff in life to get sucked into that brings more fun and enjoyment that that.

    Just my way of coping.

Oh I'm the same way. My only hope with this team is to just see something different and positive. Day to day life has enough stress to deal with and I'm not adding more over something I have no control over.

Then why are they building an offense that nearly hides him? Heavy run with play action. Means he won’t be throwing a lot and the throws he does make will be easier ones and he won’t have to go through progressions as much.

I don't think this is hiding him at all. If anything it will expose him. Every qb in the league needs help. They are providing him with the same amount of talent that most good teams in the league have. If he cannot perform in a normal environment like that then he is exposed. How is that hiding him?

I'm trying to limit myself to "just a fan". Helps me enjoy it all more.

I have to constantly remind myself that I'm just an observer and have nothing to do with the success of the team. It gets extremely difficult sometimes.

Developmental meaning he has a lot of work to see the field and make any impact.

There are ample players every draft that don't need much in terms of development, they just need experience.

They all have to learn the system and adjust the the speed of the game. So yes some adjust faster than others. Some are forced to start and learn on the fly. It comes down to whether your team needs them to start because everyone else at the position is ass and the rookie is the best of the bunch. See Carolina Panthers.

We got 3 guys I really wanted at positions we really needed help with that can help us out over the next chunk of years.

We got a few more who could give us some positive production for a while in some areas.

I loved it. I think it was a success.

We weren't going to fix every area of need, but it all starts with a few and we got some. We got at least three starters in this group (maybe not immediate but it won't take long). And we got a few other who can be big time producers.

What we did this weekend sets us up to be better this year and makes it easier to get the team where it needs to be next year. We made the draft next year easier to address remaining needs.

I'm not going to micro-analyze this draft. I'm just looking at the big picture and  we made the team significantly better in a few big areas. I give them an A.

My knock is not so much who they took as it is how they went into the draft. They had decided the 1st 2 picks before the draft even started. That just erks me to be that focused on the player and not the position available after the pool has thinned out a little. Maybe I'm being to critical with this. I cannot seem to separate my professional mindset from the football fan.

Crazy how far off the predictions were after the top 4. I knew i liked Pearsall more than Ladd and thought he'd be around for 39 but nope. Those two should have been flipped in the mocks the whole time. Keon vs XL will be interesting but that also comes down to qb play and scheme how they'll succeed

I knew all mocks would be blown up by the 5th or 6th pick. It happens every year. There were a lot of reaching for qb's. I think a few teams panicked and just starting grabbing a qb just to get one. I seriously doubt more than 1 or 2 will still be in the league in 3 years.
