I was about to say the rumor was Levis.

I guess they called Carr this morning and broke the news to him, right?

What I'm thinking is NFL teams will likely be impressed by his performance, but nothing that will alter their board with him.
Everyone knew he would be a stud at the combine. Now, how they evaluate his film determines his place on their boards, and chances are that means that he hasn't moved much on anyone's radar despite the media hype.
It would surprise me if there was a team scouting department that didn't already know about him.
The thing I was curious about was why we didn't see mention of our new OC being there. I hope Duce is there today. Would love to hear his take on the RB class.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports the Giants will place the franchise tag on Daniel Jones if he isn't signed to a contract extension by Tuesday.
Tuesday is the deadline to assign the franchise tag to a player. Jones is reportedly asking for $45 million per year. That would make him the fifth highest-paid quarterback in the league, tied with Patrick Mahomes. Jones played arguably the best football of his career in 2022. He ranked as the 11th-best quarterback in EPA per play and sat at No. 19 in adjusted yards per attempt. Still, top-five money at the position seems like a rich ask from Jones, and the Giants apparently agree. The two sides are reportedly not close to a deal, making the franchise tag all but inevitable.
I cannot see anyone giving up 2 firsts and 45 mil per for Daniel Jones.

If we don't trade down, we will be picking Will Levis at 9. We need to get in front of the Raiders and then I think one of Young, Stroud, or AR will drop to us. Hopefully not AR. Of course all this goes out the window if someone trades into the Bears or Cardinals spot.
I think you have to figure out what team in front of us is looking for a developmental prospect or an immediate starter. And what coaches may not have the job security to take a long term project.

he will throw at his pro day on the 23rd
I know that.

The only thing that changed yesterday is that Bryce Young hurt himself by not throwing. He left open the opportunity for CJ Stroud to take the number 1 spot. Anthony Richardson helped himself get noticed and may have moved himself into the top 10. For the others nothing changed.

Rapport just said on nfl network that he thinks Lamar will be tagged next Tuesday because they are not making any progress in contract talks.

Just a pet peeve of mine when people come into clearly titled threads and complain or mock people for discussing exactly what the thread title would lead you to believe is being discussed. Just seems like people wouldn't click on topics that aren't of interest to them but maybe I'm weird that I don't.
I suppose uniformity is not one of my strong suits. Sorry not sorry if feelings we hurt.

AR just ran a sub 4.4 40.

It's definitely odd being in a thread about QB Combine drills attributing arguments that I haven't seen made. We're literally just talking about how guys are performing in the QB drills in the QB drills thread.
These drills are far from the end all be all of these QB evaluations. I think everyone is well aware of that. But it's March and there's nothing else football related to talk about. I fully understand if you don't care but why bother posting here about that? Let the rest of us discuss the things there are to discuss
It's odd that it bothered you so much you felt the need to continue this. I said what I said and I'm done with it.

Trying to determine if this is going to be some long term thing where it would be best to just put you on block or mute or if this is temporary and you’ll get back to being a better contributor here.
By all means put me on ignore or block or whatever makes you feel better. If my comment offended you then so be it.

That's a weird post considering it's a thread literally existing to discuss these very Combine drills.
It's not odd. That fact you are placing judgment on how good they are or will be on a few drills is what's odd. And that fact that I mentioned it upset you two is what's odd.

Why is it any of your business?

You guys have not learned a damn thing about the combine. Winning a drill does not mean squat.

The tuff has been terrible throughout the drills.

It was a rumor some mentioned on here about Tepper casually asking some report off the record about "what he thought of that guy", meaning Levis. So they jumped to the conclusion that Tepper had a hard on for Levis. I've seen the latest rumor its Stroud but I attributed it to just another rumor like the Carr interest. It's all speculation.
