Good on Steichen’s agent, given Irsay’s impulsiveness.
I just made the contract length bit up. The second part is true.

Just short of Jay-Z
Isray had to give him that many years just to get him to agree to take the job.
I tried to watch his introductory press conference but I just couldn't look at Isray's face. The man looks pickled.

I'm bracing myself for it.
Yeah at first I thought it was never a serious consideration even as I half heartedly typed it up as plan B. But you know plans change as the landscape changes. Things can quickly become plan A at the blink of an eye. Things are afoot in Panthers land.

Carr is MUCH better than Darnold and Mayfield. He's also better than Teddy Bridgewater.
We should still pass on signing him and DRAFT A fuging FRANCHISE QB!
I agree. But maybe they do both at least. My left testicle says this is probably going to happen.

This is going to happen isn't it? It makes too much sense not to.

I seriously doubt that would be the result with the Evero/Capers duo. I have more faith in these two than I have had with any defensive coaching staff we've had.
Now that I agree with brother.

Carr's agent...
Unlike the Raiders, Carr took the high road.
Publicly at least.

They fit the scheme to the players they have, not the other way around. We'd only be switching to a 3-4 if we have the personnel for it and even then it would only be a base, but adaptive to situations.
Basically, all the stress about Evero and Capers switching to a 3-4 is needless.
But I get what you're saying, what we do could effect who would be interested, but I think who we have on staff would be a much bigger factor.
Imo, we'll just be bringing in talent and fitting what we want to do to the talent that is here.
That would be the ideal situation. But I don't want to trend into the Phil Snow philosophy of trying to have a defense that is versatile in different sets but not good at any.

Tepper certainly likes to do complete 180's. That's lots of opinions on offense/QB and we don't even have the OC yet. At the same time Rhule wouldn't qualify to be the waterboy on this staff so far.
You should watch the video about his life someone posted. It uses movie clips throughout but it is still tells you who he is.

I’m intrigued to say the least. This looks like legitimate football operations and I wanna see where this goes.
This^^^. I want to see where an experienced nfl staff can take this team.

This season? Hard to say really. If they go predominantly 3-4 defense they're going to need to add some beef on the dline and upgrade the LB core. You will not fill all of those in the draft. I'm not sure who's out there in FA that we need to woo yet.

Unacceptable. You must present this in flowchart form after the full staff is in place.
Try again.

Well I guess I can't have everything go my way.
I too would have signed Carr at one time when he was available before.

CBS Sports reported that the Colts made the Raiders an offer for Carr before settling on Carson Wentz.
So yeah...

I really like this WR class overall, but yeah I'm not seeing any slam dunk elite prospects. But I think it's deep with quality players.
Yeah its really going to depend on where you sit as they start to come off the board. But if you need a good defensive player this is the round for it. You would almost be guaranteed to get a good player no matter where you pick.

I've seen on more than a few spots that Quentin's stock is not as high as people think. Addison is the runaway fave but there may not be a WR taken top-15.
The top 25 players are mostly defensive players, namely DE's. It's top heavy on defense. Offense is sporadic in the top 25 from what few rankings I've seen. I haven't looked at the top 100 to see where the sweet spots are for other positions. I'll leave that to you nerds to enlighten me on.

As a Steeler fan, I’m good either way. They pay him and it will eat up cap needed elsewhere. And he’s only beaten us once his career so not worried there. They trade him and they join the ranks of teams looking for a QB. Which we can all agree sux.
I’d trade him and be on the phone with Bears the minute it was done.
Exactly. When you have the picks you can go up to #1. But alas, we do not. They are playing it right.

Yeah that sounds like trouble in the making. Sounds eerily similar to the Kyler Murray situation. Hard Pass on that sh!t

They are trying to move the betting line to the Panthers. He's going to NO most likely.

That’s what I’m trying to say as well. This is the first time I thought they might trade him.
If i were them I would.

He did so great against the Chiefs that second half.... Seriously though why are they picking a defensive minded coach to help Kyler Murray??
Because Kyler thinks he's so smart he should be the HC, OC and the QB as well. The Colts and Arizona jobs are the worst possible jobs in the nfl. But I hear the money is good at least.
