We aren’t drafting a QB. I wasn’t trying to imply that in any stretch, I just meant the teams that need them will push other top prospects down the line to us.
Best case scenario we get to select the first defensive player in the draft.
Wasn't implying you were. I was referring to the overall draft and threw in my speculation about the Panthers. Sorry for the confusion.

“1st round QB” definition has changed since the rookie wage scale. It’s no longer a death sentence to over draft the most necessary position high in the draft. But you may be right. We’ll just have to hold our breath and see what shakes out.
If you're a team looking for an instant starter you will not find one in this draft. There might be a practice squad upgrade here or there for us though. As for a FA upgrade I'm at a loss. I would be shocked if they drafted a qb late to replace Andy as a "developmental" qb. The offseason is going to be a hoot.

But they do next year. What are the expectations for him to get the option?
You'll have to ask Dan Morgan and Dave Canales.

5 QB needy teams ahead of us and the one that doesn’t sits at #1? Not bad.
And only 1 1st round qb in the draft.

They're so goofy with some of these takes. They don't realize what they're even saying. Eagles have Smith and AJ, not to mention the threat of Barkley (2000 yards on the season with another game to go).
I didn't pay alot of attention to that game but I'm sure those guys bailed their QB out most of the game.
I did watch the Giants though. Lock's first TD was like a 40 yards screen to Nabers. His second was a 10 yards pass to Slayton and he broke it for like 40 yards. His third TD came after Nabers caught the same underthrown deep ball that some are saying was impossible for our 1st round receiver to come back and catch. That put them inside the 10 yard line for an easy throw to a wide open receiver. His 4th was a 5 yards pass to Nabers that he broke for like 50 up the side line. Meanwhile Carolina receivers going down where they catch the ball.
I'm sure that if you put Young on the Eagles he could have produced the same results or better.

Evero is trying to get fired. Wonders why he even agreed to come back in the first place.
He was still under contract. Unless Tepper fired him he couldn't go anywhere. I wish he would have punched Tepper in the face and gotten fired. Win/win for everyone.

Really? I mean, I fully expected this defense to be completely eviscerated today without Horn and not having a run game on the other side to minimize their time on the field.
The soft zone allowed 2 no name players to look like pro bowl players out there. They left Evans wide open on 3rd down time after time. Evero is done here.

I haven't looked at where we pick but I'm assuming it's within the top ten.
I'd strongly prefer pass rusher there but it's possible we could get a decent free agent for that role, so...
They need both. They need to sign some pass rush help and draft a couple more.

Scheme of the D is great. Talent is abysmal.
Giving up 48 points says otherwise. Tampa had guys open everywhere all day long.

Yeah I'm off paying Higgins. Fix the defense
I fear there isn't enough cap space or available FA'S to do much before the draft. Dan better be able to find 3 or 4 studs in the draft. I'm not sure what they do about RB and WR.

Tampa knew we had no running game and they got ahead.. They knew we had to throw the ball and they feasted in the second half. Especially with thielen and coker being the only people on our team that can actually catch the ball
I predicted this going into the game. A blind man could see that coming from a mile away. What I didn't see coming was how bad this defense could truly be scheme wise. It needs a complete overhaul. Sadly we also need another RB and a couple more WR's as well.

I’m really not a sensitive guy, but it seemed like he enjoyed it. We deserved it, no doubt, but he was much less analytical with us than I was looking forward to. I didn’t expect rosy commentary, but with his football IQ, I thought it would have been different.
He's not going to call out specifically what the issue is. He's giving you the symptoms and letting you diagnose the disease.

Love Greg, but it felt like he bagged on us a lot this past game so my petty has come out of hiding some.
He bagged on the team because they deserved it.

What qb is going to "get the team over the hump" as you say? The team has yet to find that guy. Even Cam Newton couldn't get this organization over the hump. So please tell me where this franchise savior is that you are pining for.

If I recall he wasn't horrible. His PFF is about the same as Mays and Christensen.
I can remember not too long ago Greg Little, Dennis Daley, and John Miller having scores that didn't even combine to that.
Stats don't tell the true story. He's bad, really bad, or was his last few times on the field.

I would take BYU's qb over Colorado's qb. I'm serious.

I would love to make both victims. I just don't think he's good enough to take the practice squad into Tampa and beat the Bucs when the Bucs desperately need this win. But stranger things have happened.

These announcers are trying too hard to spin this as a positive for Sanders.

I wonder what this will do to Shedeur's Draft Status?
He's overrated but will probably go after Ward unless Deion can convince someone to draft him 1st overall which would be hilarious.

There were fools on here wanting to trade him for a ham sandwich. Imagine how bad this offense would be without him.
