    KC will be telling.

Telling? The Panthers are going to get curb stomped. The Chiefs have arguably the best defense in the league. Yeah our 30th ranked offense is really going to light them up. Young may not break 100 yards.

Unfortunately, yea.  A lot of media talking heads are pushing that these last couple games is Bryce figuring it out and becoming an NFL QB.  It's ridiculous and I don't understand it, but it's there.

It's like all these things that are so carefully picked over when evaluating other QB's are just completely ignored when talking about BY9.  It's just beyond me.

So? It doesn't mean anything. I haven't seen any mention of a celebration. There's nothing to celebrate. Saying he played better than complete ass is not a celebration. It's still not good enough and everyone knows it. The media will not come out and say that so they exaggerated it. Just like everything gets exaggerated here.

He also was quoted as saying that he figured the NFL was going to be easy. Now that it isn't, he is reevaluating. It is easy to say they don't love it or the money makes them different. But now that they are on podcasts and give more behind the scenes interviews, you see how some of these kids are wired. I think he is just lazy due to being a top tier athlete his whole life and now that it is a profession it has beat him down mentally like it does so many QB prospects. Especially a guy who had less than 20 starts after highschool. I will say this, I don't think he has it mentally to make the jump and rebound on his own. He will need coaches, mentors to get him there and be willing to listen.

If he doesn't have the desire and commitment to be the best don't waste your time on him.

I feel like I'm going insane when I hear basically anyone related to the NFL outside of Carolina talk about how good Burns is. The commentators during this last game were gushing all over him, and indirectly implying that the Panthers were fools to let him go. It's infuriating that he gets away with only having one or two above average plays per game, and he gets called elite for it. Oh well, not our problem anymore.

The commentators are paid to pump up players. It doesn't have to be true because fans will believe it because they said so.

  5. The Panthers have always waited until they needed a qb to draft one. They should have drafted Cams replacement 2 years before Cams 2nd contract was up to sit behind Cam to learn and grow. Now they are struggling to find someone to sit a rookie behind that can win some games. They will not find anything but a short term backups and they already have two that cannot win games. You can't make this up.

I got the same right as anyone else on here, but it isn't crazy talk.  It is a basic opinion and prediction. Ignore it and enjoy the rewards.

Get that kid out of here or we are fuged for year three.

    I'm referring to silencing opinions.

Could you even imagine waking up everyday like… “welp, let’s go fist fight Derek Brown for 3 hours” ??

That's if Derek is not getting rest on the sidelines while you battle the guy that's fresh off the bench. Oh,and you cannot come off the field without getting injured. Good luck!

The hopium though, it is too powerful to fool with and it only takes a little taste to set people back to June of 2023. It fucvking dangerous and it needs to be removed from influence.

And what gives you the right and authority to decide what anyone should think or believe? I hope you are not serious with that crazy talk.

We all have the list of FA QB's for 2025; it's not very good. We are also likely not in a position to grab a QB high in the upcoming draft and/or Canales may not think any of them are really his guy. In that case, one really needs to get the most value of what's already here. We have BY under contract for two more years. Dalton is going to be an additional cost to keep. There has to be enough about Dalton to justify keeping him around in some capacity.

I would not be surprised if they di not take a qb in the 2nd round in the upcoming draft if it falls like many think it will. It just depends on how desperate the teams picking at the top get. This offseason will answer a lot of questions to what the team will be forced to do in the draft.

A lot of this is gamesmanship. Of course Canales is going to keep his opponent guessing, even though it may not matter that much.

The Dalton comment tells me there's an open question on whether he's worth re-signing. Frankly, the best role he can serve given his age is to play within himself and not commit major mistakes. In other words, keep the seat warm until we eventually find a better guy. Even in that Raiders game, he got really lucky with some passes not being picked. Then his play was hurting us to the point in which Canales didn't immediately throw him back in last Sunday.

For all we know, Canales wants to see if BY could at least be good enough that we don't need Dalton back as a backup anymore. Then bring in his own guy.

I'm leaning more to your observations. To be honest they are down to seeing if either one of them can at least be a backup next season. What they do for a starter is I would like to know.

Yeah I know, Canales is done with young and I dont see any realistic scenario where he is our starter week one next year.  All I am saying is that without a qb that can win games on this roster it really doesnt matter how well the other players are playing because you simply cannot win consistently without a qb in the nfl

No $hit. We've been here before. But you don't stop adding good players because you are saving up for a qb. There's not a generational qb in this draft to sell out for and this team isn't and wasn't ready to do that. But they still need to add rookie talent everywhere, including qb. They cannot afford to not go bpa in the next few drafts regardless of position. They still need to continue fighting for every win regardless of how meaningless some of the folks think they are. It may be several years before a long-term answer is found for qb.

I want young to play probowl level or fail miserably.  I do not want him to play just good enough to make the panthers decide to ride with him for a while or even extend him.  Pretty much daniel jones is a prime example of what happens when the qb plays just good enough to think he is the solution.

How do you propose to change that? Or should I say stop Tepper from allowing that to happen?

In the grand scheme of things he kinda is

That would be true if he is part of the grand scheme. What makes you think that because he's playing they think he is the future? Everyone sees what we see, including the team. The team knows that they need a long term answer and will try to improve it in the offseason.
