To be fair, it wasn’t long ago we were saying this about Alabama QBs.
True. Jalen will be the first. I fear Bryce may not be the 2nd. Unless he has a growth spurt.

Its been awful quiet around BOA about the behind the scenes activities this season. I like it. I like it a lot.

Hey, this is a thread for unpopular opinions, what did you expect?
My choices were Matt Corral or Ice Cream should be its own food group.
Did I choose poorly?
No, you are correct go sir. I forgot which thread I was in. There are so many unpopular opinions in each thread its hard to keep up. But I knew your comments were in jest so call it even.

Be patient, with the hiring of Frank Reich, Matt Corral has gone from afterthought to Panthers future franchise QB.
Future what?! Pump the brakes there Skippy. Let's not put all our eggs in that basket. It has not been established that he will even be part of the plan going forward.
Hell they can't even agree on who the DC is going to be cousin. The offensive staff is still unknown and parking spaces still have to be assigned.

Yeah, I'm not going to go to the guy who gave Matt Rhule a massive contract and full control for hiring advice.
Pretty much every head coach in the NFL gets to hire their own staff. And Reich has run a successful team before. Can we say that of Tepper? Hell, one of his former hires is going to be coaching in the Super Bowl shortly.
I can't see any good reason to limit who Reich hires.
I'm not sure it's limiting him as much as presenting alternative options to consider. But yeah, stay out of the offensive staff decisions at least.

I'm with you. We just can't control them. Seriously I'd be ok with them developing their QBs in house now that we have a QB expert at HC.
We need a dominant DE on the other side of Burns.
Now why did you have to bring up Burns?

Williams looks like a stud but my concern with him translating to the NFL is he holds onto the ball forever. His average time to throw last year would've ranked near dead last amongst NFL QBs. That won't translate. He's gonna have to speed up his decision making.
When someone mentions USC or OSU qbs I'm like...

Biggest needs that can be satisfied in the draft are WR LB and RB. Young talent at those positions are deep this year and way cheaper than signing in FA. If a QB falls in our lap Reich and Fitt like so be it. If not get BPA while trying to fill needs simultaneously. I for one wouldn’t mind another bad season if it meant a shot at Caleb Williams next year or a surprise trade for Burns during this draft to get sexier this year and next. If we did trade him Luke Van Ness or Andre Carter ll would be awesome to get to supplant if this scenario played out.
Hell no to USC qb's. No WR, LB or RB in the top 10 either.

Oh well, plan B it is.

Joe Brady is available.
Honestly, I wouldn't be opposed to Brady without Rhule. I think Rhule was the root of all of the problems here considering how Wilks did with a very large interim staff and three different QB's.

No more cast-off!!! Let's create our own for a change. I am not down for trying to go with these cast-off qbs just to delay the inevitable. Stop the damn madness already.
Sorry for the double post. I get triggered at the thought of still doing the same dumb sh!t over and over.
