At one point, i would have told you to stop being so pessimistic, but at this point, you're being realistic. Kind of sad.
I call it like I see it.
I've held out hope that eventually Rhule will do something meaningful to help this team. But each day that passes with him in control the outlook gets bleaker.
At this point I'm just here to witness the final breaths of the Rhule administration.
I guess that is showing optimism, right?

So in the end…DJ Moore was the right guy
Yes it appears to be. Go figure.

Rhule likes him though
That's our biggest problem. Scratch that, Tepper is our biggest problem. Rhule is close behind.

He did say Jordan might be a backup rather than a starter.
Might be? He is as bad as Daley. Our starters would not make a backup spot on a majority of the nfl teams.

That doesn't specify how they're going to fix it though.
From the article:
But the Panthers are also starting to get comfortable with the idea of sliding Brady Christensen to left tackle, signing a guard or two in free agency and drafting a quarterback at No. 6. Christensen would start at left tackle, Michael Jordan would start or backup at left guard, Pat Elflein would start at center, a new right guard and Taylor Moton would start at right tackle.
This franchise is FUBAR.

I'm of the opinion that a lot of the time CMC has missed over the past two seasons with non-serious injuries are likely of the "I ain't wearing out the tread on these tires for this bullshit" variety.

let's ignore the fact I listed 6 choices, but next time I'll explain it a little more clearly
I saw all 6. Your point? What makes those options our only options?

So the money is on taking a qb at this point? I'd say that's a safe bet.

Do you really think a coach that is on the hot seat is going to put his future into Sam's hands?
Although a lot of us would like that option there is a reason that I specifically said it wasn't an option for this post.
You asked what I would do, not Rhule. What he will do is fu k it up worse than it is now.

Nothing this season. Next offseason is when they should go all in on someone, assuming we have a new regime. This current crew will just screw it up anyway so I'm with standing pat.

I disagree, unless CMC changes positions I doubt he ever plays a full season ever again.

If he is traded and stays healthy he will dominate. I have no doubt about that but can he stay on the field?
He will stay on the field. He is not as injured as one thinks.

They will get screwed somehow. They just can't help themselves.

It actually did. His downfall was for reasons outside of that.
It didn't produce any titles. But I admit as bad as they are we seem to be trying to unseat them for the worst ran team. We seem to be trying to immulate the worst teams in the NFL. I would say the goal has been achieved.

It could be for a bunch of different reasons. I know that the Lions old GM (Bob Quinn) liked to free up cap space...just in case he needed it. His logic is that you can free up $5M with a player, but then if you don't need it you can just let the cap space roll over and help pay for the money you just pushed into the following year. So in a way it is a "no harm, no foul" in his eyes. Its like taking $200 out of the bank in cash, then putting it back if you don't use it.
It worked out so well for them didn't it?

Yall gonna be feeling real stupid when we win the Super Bowl with Jimeis Garoppocousins.
The league would never allow it. It's too much of a competitive advantage.

Rhule is loading up for his hail mary attempt and spend big time in FA. Granted, it probably won't work, but he's going down swinging and taking the organization down with him.
Ask yourself this, is there any available FA's or players in this draft that can put this team over the top? Hell, is there any available QB's either by trade or in this draft that could even get them out the nfcs basement? No, Watson will not do it either. Yes it's that bad.
Nothing done this offseason will produce anymore wins than they've managed so far. If the nfcs sucks enough they might manage to pick up an extra win but that's debatable as it stands now.

So in a loaded tackle draft that we are sitting at pick 6 we throw a ton of cap at an aging FA tackle. Makes sense.
