Unless a LOT changes, yes I agree the team might not be any better than last year. Still a lot of time for that to happen.
I am prepared for them to have a worse record just for the simple fact that there's more film on them now. They won't be underestimated this season and from the looks of it the team depth is a push if not worse at the moment. A bunch of new rookies won't make that much difference at first. If by some miracle they get a better qb that doesn't cost us half the defense and a butt load of draft picks maybe they could add a couple more wins. I'm not expecting much.

If I'm Atlanta's GM I trade the pick to a QB needy team for the double whammy of accruing assets and fuging the Panthers
I am fairly certain that is an option on their board. As a matter of fact it should be an option on our board every year.

That's why I don't understand the panic this team has too many holes to fill in one off season.
If they trade the house for Watson it will be him and a bunch of udfa's against the world.

Who would want to come here with our line. We are set up to draft a QB unfortunately. We are at least a year away still.
...at best.

Doing nothing sometimes has it's rewards.
If the so called experts are correct and there are 4 qbs take in the top 7 then we are sitting pretty at 8.
The odds that all 4 qbs taken end up being franchise qbs is astronomical. Take the best tackle on the board and don't look back.
Go after Watson next year if they must.

Honestly, I really hope it plays out that way. That means tons of talent falls at our feet.
Exactly. Sometimes you win by staying put.

Exactly why we should not get over reacting when it comes to a QB.
Now what's the fun in that?

It's voodoo man. They put a root on the league office so they never see the actual numbers. It all looks like zeros.

Urban is an offensive mastermind and will know how to craft an offense for him. He is a cant miss
I wouldn't go as far as saying can't miss but I would be surprised if he doesn't succeed. He could get Tommy John'd and end up like Jake Delhomme after one season. But yeah, he is the best QB in this class.

Are we really that interested in Will Fuller or is that BS? Lotta speculation out there
Everything out there is misinformation. Mostly put out by teams and agents. Until it's official take it with a large grain of salt.

I like the thought of Lance, I like his skill set. But you are fooling yourself if you think he is anywhere ready to play in the NFL for numerous reasons. Its going to take him a couple seasons at least just to adjust to the speed. If we take him at 8 (after careful evaluation) then I hope to hell we have a long term plan for him instead of throwing him to the wolves. And also that is why in my mind some of these mocks have Jones to us because he is ready to play day 1.
I said if they take him. I would certainly prefer a more pro ready player at 8 but it is what it is. I'm the group that wants anyone but Teddy, even if they are already on the roster. But I'm not going to lose sleep either way.

It will be even funnier on here if we land Lance and people like the OP flip out when he isn't an immediate starter.
If they get him at 8 I doubt you hear anything but cheers. If they trade up for him I personally would not approve but it's not my money.

Atlanta can draft BAP now and not worry about QB for another couple years.
What if BAP is a QB? Or...they trade Ryan for Watson?
I know, but nothing is certain.

This guy will not have a dollar store price. How many injuries does he have? If he doesn't have at least two pass.

If Joe Brady really was the offensive guru people claim he is, shouldn't he have used Armah to his full potential instead of pretty much just letting him rot? By all accounts he is a really good player.
But "muh system".
Great coaches make it work.
I'm not convinced he's the guru that everyone claims he is.

There are very few examples of wild spending in free agency paying off. The most obvious one was Tampa last season but that is definitely abnormal.
Tampa is the only example of it ever working to win a SB. Lots of teams have tried but they all failed because the didn't have TB to top it off. Without TB Tampa would have failed also. As long as he's playing they will have a shot if they can keep paying all the other talent they signed. It helps if you have a good draft to set it all up. There's just too many things that have to go perfectly for it to pay off. But that doesn't stop teams from trying.

From what I understand, his trade is voided because he didn't meet certain conditions (apparently related to opting out).
Can't say I've ever seen anythinglike that before.
Expectation is the 49ers won't keep him.
I was about to say that I have never heard of this ever happening. But I don't follow this stuff as much as you guys.

Well, if the strategy is to get the number one pick next year without purposefully tanking this would be the way to do it. By signing all these injury prone players it's pretty much guaranteed that most if not all of them will be on IR by week 4 so there's that.

Oh no! How on earth will ever win a SB now?!

It's exactly what the fans on here want the Panthers to do. But in our case it's all our future picks and more.
