I put some used underwear on facebook marketplace for 10 bucks a pair knowing good and well they would eventually sell for 6
People actually buy used underwear? Hell I have some drawers I've been wearing for at least 20 years that could be worth a fortune. People love vintage poo.

Snagged Martin Mayhew as well (title unknown as yet)
Mayhew's best known here for interviewing the last time we hired Marty. He's best known elsewhere for being the architect of the Lions team that went 0-16 a few years back.
Washington's had to close their facility due to Covid issues so Marty getting finalized might still be a few days off.
It sure looks like they want to get the number one pick next year. They will certainly have the staff capable of pulling it off without even trying to tank.

Not playing Moton on the left continues to bewilder. When Ronnie Stanley went down for the Ravens, they slid Orlando Brown from RT to LT with little issue.
The only thing I can come up with is Moton must not want to play LT. Because I can see no reason why they didn't at least try.

He will play. There's too much money involved for him not to.

Breaking: Former Panthers DT KK Short has agreed to a 2 year deal with the Buffalo Bills
They are not that dumb. Now if you had said the WTF team I would say you prediction has a good chance.

You will have to ask our new head talent evaluator/GM.

I prefer to think of him in this situation as a franchise self destruct button.
I consider him a bullsh*t artist. He built his reputation on pure luck and a gift for kissing ass.

People should definitely get it out of their minds that CMC wouldn't be potentially involved in the trade for Watson. Everything is on the table right now.
He won't be involved because nobody but Hurney would give CMC a contract like he has. He's great but that contract makes him virtually untradable to any sane GM. But stranger things have happened. We would still be in the hook for the bonus money. I just don't see any reasonable way you can pull it off.

Maybe the Saints will want him back.
That was funny. Thanks.

Hoping he can make Teddy into something here? Good luck.

Imagine being so bad at your job you were fired not once, but twice and rehired a third time
That right there is what you call a salesman.
Or a politician, there really is no difference.

You have to wonder if Teddy running his mouth about the coaches factored into the decision of not only looking at rooking QBs but other vet QBs as well.
It certainly didn't help I would assume. But his play relative to his salary had more to do with it than anything would be my bet.

I’m all for this as long as it doesn’t involve #8 overall.
Trade two 2nd round picks for stafford, draft Slater/Surtain/Farley at #8.
SOLID.I would look to do a play for player/players trade before I would offer picks.

It would be expensive. We need more player's than just QB.
The rookie will be cheap. Getting ride of Teddy's contract is what is holding us back.

Both would not be bad.
It certainly wouldn't prevent us from drafting one this draft. Finding someone to dump Teddy on will be difficult.

Why can't we have both?

No, we are just pointing at facts. You said he extended Short. He didn't. Nothing you say will change that.
I misspoke. He restructured it which only made matters worse. The DG extension was bad enough.

When was it? Because the only contract extension reported by OTC or Sporttrac was in April 2017. It was negotiated after originally being given the Franchise Tag. No mention anywhere else that I can see after that. He was given a 5 year extension on April 17, 2017. On Sept 7, 2019 some salary was converted to bonus in order to clear some cap room but that wasn't an extension by any definition,
He should not have done that period. Marty loved to move money around compounding our Cap woes. KK should have been traded or release before the first contact but it is what it is.

It didn’t extend his contract only moved his money around. Nobody complained when he signed his original.
So he dug the hole deeper but that's ok it's Marty? And because nobody on this message board raised a stink about the first extension somehow relieves Marty from compounded it now? You guys are going to go down swinging trying to make Marty something hes not and never was.

Pretty sure DG gifted us that one.
The first one yes, was against that one also. But Marty compounded that mistake by extending him again.

Hopefully he and the team can restructure his current contract or sign a extension with a rational cap number. We got to pay him 9 million either way.
Pull the band-aid off now and cut your losses. They have paid him a butt load of money to sit on the beach for damn near 3 seasons. Hell no to another extension.

Who thought that when it happened? I don’t remember hearing anyone complain at all at the time. Yeah I’m hind sight it was a bad contract. But that happens sometimes, that’s not something a GM could control.
I sure did. It's been a common theme in BOA to extend aging injury riddled fan favorites beyond their expiration date. I was again Nippleshorts extending him as well but I have control over what happens in BOA. Maybe the new brain trust will have a different approach. One can only hope.

Same, I thought he and Brown would be a nasty combo. Like you said, he is done and they need to part ways
He's been done for 3 seasons.
NFL execs: it’s going to take 3 first rounders at least for DeShaun Watson.
