Ron isn't an offensive coordinator.
Ron is the head coach. He chose the coordinator and signed off on the draft picks. He owns the results.

In Ron’s defense I wonder how many healthy Curtis and Cam games we even had
That's a good question. All I know is that when he got to play he wasn't targeted that much. Seemed like a waste of a 2nd round pick at the time. I think Rhule could get more value out of him but who knows. I just watch the games and hope the outcome is in our favor.

Well, it might only take one season. I can understand the one season "denial" buffer though. I remember looking back wistfully on the "Hurney 2.0" buffer year, the "Riverboat Ron" buffer years, the "Gettlemagic" buffer years, the "John Fox" buffer years......
Good times.
That's why I'm not going to label anything as good or bad. I'm just trying to determine what the actual plan is going forward. Whether it works out or not will take some time to figure out.

BB wants that old thang back. That 2 TE set they had with Gronk and Hernandez. Only problem is Smith and Henry are a far cry from Gronk and Hernandez, and they've got 2021 Cam Newton throwing them the ball, not prime Tom Brady. Will be interesting as hell. Where is NE getting all this money from?!?!
Stealing it from NO obviously.

I would say that, but Panthers have done this for almost 27 years.
It's a new regime, so I'm trying to not let my ingrained fear from the past 2 decades to cloud my perspective on what they are "trying" to do with the team. It will take a couple of seasons to determine if it's just more of the same.

Word now that the Patriots have signed Hunter Henry.
Yeesh
They are going all in like the bucs did last season. These free agents must think BB can get them a ring this year. He's going to have to find her m a QB that can finish the season though.

Yep injured guys!
That's about all they can afford to sign this year. It's a gamble they decided to take apparently. Sign guys who may be good but have had injuries in the past. These guys will be cheaper than the guys everyone is clamoring for. It's a sad reality that most or ignoring.

I want every big name in free agency no matter how they’ve performed. I want them all at vet minimum. I want to be way under the salary cap. I want answers!
People in hell want ice water too. The odds are about the same.

the lines are definitely a priority, as well they should be. I see a heavy O-Line draft incoming.
I'm not certain it will be heavy. At most I could see them picking up two. Probably end up with one in the first two rounds, if the don't trade them away, and two or three udfa.

I don't think he goes to WFT. Ron and co had no idea how to best utilize his skillset. Either that, or they never gave him the opportunities he was deserved.
It would be a waste of cap space going to his former coaches team. Ron never knew how to get value out of him when he had him.

So far they have looked to upgrade on the oline, dline, corner and hedge themselves at wr. Starting to see a plan come together.

Which is around the number I quoted.
That's fine but if he's looking for more then I personally would let him test the market. If he gets more somewhere else while I would hate it so be it.

Obada has been trending up tho
And it's all because the team invested time and money in developing him. In his case I am not sure we owe him anything more than his current worth of which this team helped him achieve.

He's worth about 1.2 million, he's played for peanuts over the course of his career. He's deserves a payday now.
Paying for past performance has worked out so well for us. I would like to something different this time around.

I suspect that the interest is due to the possibility of not being able to re-sign Samuel.

Finally got word on why...
Thought it could be something like that. It's fair to both sides to let him test the market. Would hate to lose him but you can't pay them all what they think they are worth.

Can’t keep all 3. Anderson is the oldest
This. If Samuel stays Anderson is replaced with a rookie. DJ is the target down the road I would assume.

Very curious if they're going to continue cutting guys and telling them they want them back on cheaper deals. Was apparently the case with Short and Obada. I'm wondering if this is in relation to that in anyway, or if the team is just looking for different options to put on the field aside from Brown & Roy?
Probably a bit of both.

Panthers interested in Falcons Keanu Neal
in Carolina Panthers

Well, if the strategy is to get the number one pick next year without purposefully tanking this would be the way to do it. By signing all these injury prone players it's pretty much guaranteed that most if not all of them will be on IR by week 4 so there's that.
