All I'm saying is that literally every time Teddy had the chance to come through to deliver a tie or W he came up short. Ever. Single. Time.
He forgets to mention that although the D did struggle to hold the lead the offense always had the ball with more than enough time to seal a victory. As usual Teddy went limp and the results are what you saw.

Nah, let's try someone different, anyone... please.

Depends on the price. Lord knows this team needs quality depth.

It does not matter what happens, drafting Mac Jones at 8 should not be a option.

I really don't want to part with Brown or Burns. I'd try like hell to keep those two and Chinn off the table.
If this goes through it will be painful. You will have to give at least one of those guys if not two. Watson is going to cost you my friend.

You don't want my top offer. Suffice it to say it'd be nowhere near the kind of craziness some have been proposing.
I've tried looking at it from the flipside though.
If I were a team that was being asked to trade another team my 25 year old franchise quarterback, what would I be asking?
My first answer would probably be the same as the Texans. "Hell no, I'm not trading him!"
But if it came down to the point that I had to, what I'd be asking in return would likely be something that would make God himself step back and take a deep breath.
I have kicked this around in my head for a while since the crazies are hell bent on Watson. Looking at what's been rumored to be the asking price and what I personally would be comfortable with giving would be like this.
My bottom line offer would be 2 1st, this year 8 and next year's. I would give them 2 defensive players, one of either Brown or Burns and one of either Thompson or Jackson. That's it. Anything more and I take my chances in the draft.

So pass on Mahomes?
I wasn't aware he is in this draft. Lance is no Mahomes. Nice try though.

Gotta get out of this type of thinking. A QB doesn’t need to start week 1.
Odd, I thought you had to start a QB in every game. You take him in the top 10 he starts. If he is not going to be ready in his first year you don't take him in the first period.

Teddy is a career backup. Nothing more. We are paying 20 mil a year to a backup expecting him to be more.

I think we should have orange helmets with a white paw print on them.

I don't like the silver metal flake helmets. Never did, sorry. Everything else though is great.

I think if we sign Watson, draft Lance, draft Fields, or draft Mac....we will form into two huddle tribes of rage.
I only see us uniting as one if Teddy starts.
That is the funny part. Why rag over something you have absolutely no control? The only thing I rag over is the officiating if it's not in our favor. And then I kick myself for getting upset over a game.
But that's me. I laugh when I see someone type "I'll be fine with" or "I'll be ok if" statements. That's just weird to me.
Carry on.

How in the Holly f*ck has this thread gone this long. Are you lazy f*cks that damn bored?
I admit it was fun laughing through the first 15 pages but damn. Let this crappy thread die like the career of the person this topic is about.

Can he block? If so sign his ass. Being able to catch is a bonus. Our current TE's can do neither.

He's 2nd Tepper is first. I can't stand him. He's going to destroy the Panthers due to his stupid phucking ego.
When will the dumb motherphucker understand he knows nothing about football and let football people do their jobs.
Stupid analytics horschit really isn't going to do a phucking thing.
I hate that stupid bald motherphucker.
I'd rather have a threesome with Rosie O'donnell and Nancy Pelosi than look at his fat phucking face one more time.
Tell us how you really feel.

Panthers reach rock bottom scenario: roll with Teddy for another year or draft Mac Jones at 8?
in Carolina Panthers

What do you think Teddy gives you? We would be in the exact same situation next year, 5 or 6 wins and still looking from the outside in. No thanks, I'll take my chances on greatly improving or bottoming out and have my choice of the QB's in the next draft thank you very much.
