They're already skyrocketing. This will just keep the trend going.

Sorry you're in this spot. I'm already there.

What's really frustrating for me is that I had a startup business going and had agreements from five more distributors to bring me on this summer. That would've given me a total of 22 states. None have completely backed out on me as of yet, but timing went from "this summer" to "???".  So, in the meantime I've launched another line that has been picked up by the two biggest online retailers in the game. Initial orders should be within the next 3-4 weeks.

States are struggling all over financially and a lot were before this outbreak.  NC was struggling to pay contactors before this happened, many of which I personally had to cancel contracts with whom I've worked with my entire career.  The full financial impact is yet to be realized even if everyone went back to work tomorrow and the virus was fully gone.  I'm afraid we haven't seen the worst yet.

Hopefully, it will be more about a plan going forward.

Illinois, CA and others that have been sooooo in debt, and NY with what they are getting hit with, might all see protection

We have been working to mitigate the impact of bad policy decisions that date back nearly 2 years.   We are out of options at this point.  Furloughs and rifts are all they have left to offset the budget crises that was in place before this outback.  As soon as we went into lockdown it was only a matter of time before it went full belly up.   The unemployment numbers are going to skyrocket soon.

How many of you guys sell to the state, any state?

    Bankruptcy of states scare you?

I work in state government.  It's been bad financially for nearly a year now.  This pandemic is the final nail in the coffin so to speak.  I have a conference call tomorrow with Raleigh management and I'm expecting bad news for my employees and myself.

    Hey everyone...

I don’t post here here much anymore and not sure how to embed a YouTube video but if any of you live in Iredell County NC , specifically Statesville, I would appreciate any assistance you could give to a local business. This is my ex of 20 years and mother of my 2 kids and she is close to shutting her restaurant down and could use the help. She is a good person and many of the original members know her. No Go Fund me or anything like that. Just a news clip to show what people are going through. It’s a hard time for a lot of people. Thanks Huddle and this seemed like an appropriate place the post this. Hope you are all well and enjoy the draft.

    XOXO,

    Johnny Rockets

I think I have eaten at this restaurant before.  If I get back to Statesville again anytime soon I will drop in and get something for sure.  Glad to see you back @Johnny Rockets

An update on my wife's employer's incredibly fuged up approach to this situation. Not only are they laying off people in droves, but once those positions are reposted, laid off employees will simply be invited to re-apply. Not brought back automatically. Not given preferential treatment. Literally just treated as any other applicant.

That's a pretty f*cked up thing to do.  It's probably a salary and pension dump if she has one.  Her company is hoping they can hire people for the same positions for cheaper salaries.  I hope these fed aide packages address situations like this.

They let you leave?  I thought we had to stay here so the neighbors aren't frightened by the sight of us?  I've been lied to.

A few of us asked a question I don't think I've seen answered yet in this thread.

Most of us (myself included) have eliminated Teddy Williams from the roster projection.  But, if we do that, who among the projected players would fill the role of Gunner in special teams?

In 2014 we were hurt badly by a lack of speed on special teams.  That became a BIG focus of the 2015 offseason.  Can we afford to get rid of Teddy Williams and still have enough speed on ST?

I would imagine some of the rookies and undrafted  guys will have a shot at ST's and more than likely will be required to play ST.

Hey probabilities...Bogart wants to see your resume...

Are you like mentally challenged or something?  The probability is good you have no clue how to build a football team and trying to scream nana nana boo boo with incoherent bullshit doesn't help your case.

Is it more lame than dredging up what fans are saying on their own forums, ridiculing them for it here, sometimes very harshly, then not even having the guts to come back and apologize when everything they said turned out to be true?

Congratulations on the win, now fug off.

P.S. Your team and the majority of your fans are POS and I think I speak for everyone here in saying kiss my ass.  If you think anyone here gives a steaming pile of monkey poo for your opinion you are sadly mistaken.

  11. This is truly appropriate to the ongoing saga with the rainy city bitch pigions.  If anyone was paying attention to Ron and Dave when they said that this team was being built to beat/compete with those northwestern assclowns you would know this.  So this Sunday we shall see if Daniel-san is ready to win the tournament or needs more training.

What? Who's the MVP of the Seahawks if its not him? And don't give me anyone on that defense that was losing them games week after week.  Man I'm not the biggest Wilson fan but I try to look at things in an unbiased fashion. But if he would've played the entire season like he finished it, RW and cam would be neck and neck for MVP. They both had one of the most ridiculous 4-5 games stretches that I've seen in awhile. Difference is Cam was playing at that level for most of the year and Wilson came on late. But its easy to see that if they both continue to improve this will be a recurring theme for both franchises.

Easy there big guy, it was sarcasm.   I'm not a Wilson hater but the dude is not in the MVP debate this year.  I give him credit for stepping up his game though.

  13. I just don't think with the amount of injuries to key starters we have that we'll be able to pull this one out.  Our offensive line is banged up.  Our Defensive line is banged up also.  We are getting thin in the trenches and its going to effect our ability to sustain drives on o and get the defense off the field.  I hope we can hang with them but it could get ugly.

  14. The difference between when Carolina played NO and when Tampa played them is two things.  NO played Tampa like they knew they were going to win by default.  NO played us in all out desperation mode.  They had to beat us in order to have any semblance of a salvageable season.  That's why they played us much closer because they threw everything they could at us.   They played the Bucs as if it was an easy win and got their asses handed to them.  Different situations all together.  We will not make that mistake.
