  1. In Nick Mullens first 5 games as a starter in 2018 he threw for:

    262

    250

    221

    414

    332

There’s a lot more examples of guys like this. I didn’t look at Jake Browning’s stats last year but he comes to mind as well, along with of course Kyle Allen. Anyone can look good for a few games until the opposing DC gets some tape and starts to actually game plan for whatever attributes stand out on film. Then trash QB reverts back to trash QB and is buried on the bench again.

A substantial portion of this fanbase would prefer we win 1 out of every 4 games (which Shough has done) if we threw for 220 yards a game rather than have a winning record and be in the playoff hunt

They think every QB should be prime Cam or Mahomes. And further that those types of players just grow on trees and are freely available to draft if we just lose enough games to get the first overall pick.

We literally play the Saints next and this kid’s surprising start is the most relevant thing to talk about regarding them.

Bryce Young insecurity shouldn’t shut down talk

Surprising? His QBR is lower than Spencer Rattler’s. He’s thrown 5 TDS and 4 INTs and is 26 years old. He’s Brandon Weeden or Chris Weinke. An old guy on a terrible team who can put up mediocre stats and convince a few morons that he might be the guy. Some of yall need to be out of the amateur football evaluation business.

I was at that game as well sitting in the end zone area and remembered how the stadium erupted when Hitchcock got that pick six. It was supposed to snow the night before through the morning hours but not a flake fell and when the sun came out in the 2nd half the fans applauded sarcastically at the botched forecast.

Oh I remember that. And not just snow but it was like inches of snow lol. I remember being all ready for it and then nothing happens other than it being cold as fug.

  5. I was at that game as well. Warner threw a pick 6 that was almost identical to the Stafford pick 6 to Jackson. I think Jimmy Hitchcock retuned it back down the same sideline for the score. It was super cold that day. I was in the shade pretty much the whole time and it wasn’t pleasant but the win was shocking. The Rams offense was completely shut down like they hadn’t been before.

They were not happy after a 450 yard passing game, why do you think they'd be happy now?

They're not happy when we win 30-0, because Bryce didn't throw for 400 yards.

They're not happy when we win on the last drive, because that means we were losing earlier (???).

They're not happy when Bryce completes 75% of passes, records 230+ total yards, 3 TDs, 0 turnovers and outduels the MVP favorite because we ran the ball a lot.

They will literally never be happy. They would be happier if we were 0-13.

Seriously. My god enjoy the win over a legitimate Super Bowl contender and just shut the fug up. You don’t always have to try to be the smartest person in the room. As far as I know no one on this board has ever sniffed an NFL front office m.

    Are you ever fuging happy

I’ve been pretty consistently negative on Bryce but these posters are just completely insufferable sometimes. We are in the playoff race for the 2nd time in like a decade and they still find something to bitch about because it might mean they would have to re-evaluate the hot takes they’ve handed our on here for the last 3 years.

  8. This is who Bryce is. If you mapped out his performances over 3 seasons most of them would center around a stat line that looks pretty similar to this. Yeah you get the occasional outlier like Green Bay his rookie season, the Atlanta game this year and last year but at the end of the day you’re gonna get 170 and 1 TD out of him.  This isn’t what you should accept from the #1 overall pick. It’s backup level play, because that’s what he is, a backup QB. Nothing more and nothing less. He can have a long career because he’s not so bad that he couldn’t fill in and manage a game for a real starter but he’s not a starter in this league.

Bryce can’t be gone soon enough. The trade for him and his subsequent lackluster play has set the franchise back at least three years.

Luckily it appears we’ve been able to draft well and build a good roster around him. Sign a vet and let’s see what he can do next year. Bryce ain’t it.
