I don't see how we could be a player away yet clearly headed into a freefall to land us the #1 pick in next year's draft almost assuredly.  The margin between being borderline decent and this god-awful isn't that thin.

We’re in a similar boat with the Cleveland Browns, fuged for the foreseeable future with terrible ownership. Not great company to be in.
