Oh, boy.....

15 games in 30 days, including 3 back-to-backs. Ottawa and St. Louis next Saturday-Sunday; followed by Philadelphia and New Jersey 3 days later. Finally, finish the month with a home-road back-to-back against Florida. No doubt we'll see Martin in net for at least 3 games- each of those b2b's. And the Canes are the first team since the 1960 Bruins to put the same lineup on the ice every game this far into the season. Yes, we're already to November 9, but the next 3 weeks are gonna be rough. Tighten up your chin straps boys! Ice up!

Don't underestimate the level of difficulty on this road trip. Colorado always plays Carolina tough and their record belies the matchup issues they present. Avs have one of the best PPs in the league, scoring at a 36% clip, against one of the best PKs in the league in the Canes. Stay out of the box, guys. Easier said than done because we all know Svech will get called for not committing a penalty, just because. The trip on Letang called the other night was ridiculous- Svech was stationary and Letang purposefully skated into him and went down. Fortunately, they don't have to travel far for each game- not more than an hour flight from one city to the next, if that.

On a positive note, he absolutely shut down Crosby and I think even Crosby was complimentary of his play. If I was going to be concerned about anything from last night- the number of SOG the Canes allowed- way off their norm.

Gave up 10 SOG to the Pens. Yikes! Only 4 SOG for the Canes. Yikes! Roslovic has 8 already. Only had 9 all of last season.

Both of the Necas goals before the Philly game were assisted by Robinson, and it was only a matter of time before Necas assisted on a Robinson goal. That's why I picked Robbie for the 1st goal... but, it was the 2nd. Anyway, the other thing to keep an eye on is the huge improvement in Necas's defensive play. Already leaps & bounds better than last year.

This might be the Canes worst game of the season so far. This has been tough since the opening drop.

I've said it a hundred times, Freddie and #52 are each going to give up a softie every game. That being said, this wasn't a softie. Kochetkov isn't making that save on Tippett with that shot.
