  1. I agree! All I know is that before I saw the Falcons play today the thought of us going undefeated was laughable. Now, if we can get past these next two games.....the thought is going to start wiggling its away inside my mind. Remember, saying something is actually possible doesn't mean you think it will happen.
  2. Not saying we WILL. But if we're 8-0 after next week, I'm going to start thinking it's possible. We're just better y'all, we're just better.
  3. This, this moment right here is the first time I think we have a chance of going undefeated if we beat the Colts and Packers. The Falcons were supposed to be our last major challenge and they're garbage too.
  4. I, uh, don't know how to tell you guys that are arguing, but we're 4-0 and not 4-1. Don't go full on stupid now.
  5. Prime Vick vs. Prime Ryan? Oh Prime Vick NO QUESTION. Prime Vick was as effective as Prime Brady or Prime Manning. Thankfully, Prime Vick didn't last long.
  6. I've watched NOTHING the last two weeks that make me fear the Falcons whatsoever. Even with the easiest schedule in the league, they're going to crap the bed against bad teams enough that we'll win the division.
  7. The Saints are a legitimately bad team. This is a very bad loss for the Falcons. Exposed. Yet another year, yet another finesse Falcons team.
  8. If Allen goes back to dominating like he did before in a 4-3 and CJ finally gets healthy when he gets back, a defense of: Jared Allen CJ KK Star Luke TD Shaq Norman Tillman Harper/Coleman can absolutely get the best of any offense in the league including Green Bay, New England, Arizona, anyone.
  9. Lol at this thread and the pinned one. In the time it took Igo to lock my thread and post his new one, I had already posted "per Jay Glazer's Twitter" 3 posts later. There's this magical feature that lets you edit previously posted ones which I was literally in the process of doing when I got the notice that the thread was locked. No one needs to defend me or defend Igo. I don't care. This will be my last post on Lockgateâ„¢.
  10. Guys Allen's age can experience drop-off quickly if they're not QBs or kickers though. We'll see, again, I like the trade.
  11. He's 33 though. He'll be good here, my point is: Don't expect to be getting the Jared Allen of 2009. Better than what we have and so it's a good and necessary trade though.
  12. Literally 30 seconds later I said per Jay Glazer on Twitter but okay. I forgive you for your bitch ass move. On topic: Jared Allen hasn't done anything in years. He doesn't make us a Super Bowl contender, he hopefully has enough in the tank left until CJ can get come back healthy.
  13. Bitch ass move locking my thread just so you could post one Igo. Bitch ass move.
  14. All I have to say: Sean Payton is 100x the coach Ron Rivera is. That explains everything so far.
  15. 2013-2015 Carolina Panthers: Back to Back to Back Falcons D is still garbage, Julio Jones will be shut down yet again, etc. *yawn* We need a challenge, this is getting boring.
  16. Bunch of whining bitches. Did you guys think no other team in the division would win a game this year or something?
  17. Disappointed to hear you parrot the line about how the Panthers don't have any right to complain because we had guys on roids in that Super Bowl. That's an old New England talking point. The difference is that the Panthers organization had no idea what Steussie and friends were doing. John Fox didn't know. Jerry Richardson didn't know. That wasn't a team-sanctioned thing. Comparing the two and saying they're equal is like comparing Apple to Enron. Saying that just because some Apple employees stole a couple of iPhones that that makes Apple the equivalent of Enron, a company poisoned from the CEO down with corruption.
  18. Here's the thing guys: coaches are sometimes overly optimistic. And a lot of times, other team personnel think something is worse than it is. Unless the "sense" Voth was talking about came from an actual medical personnel guy, it's meaningless. Not one person out there: Rivera, KB, not even the Panther trainer knows how serious it is until he has that MRI done. Trying to read into what others are tweeting is pointless. Everyone saw the same thing you did on that video and that's all they know.
  19. To recap: - Norman was hurt but hurt so little he returned to practice - Funchess tweaked hamstring, shouldn't miss any regular season games out of it - No major fights - KB with the sprain, Rivera sounded optimistic. I'm guessing he could play Week 1 if it's a sprain, but the coaches will give him the Cam treatment and sit him Week 1. So out of what was supposedly the worst training camp day in team history, there's a chance it amounts to 1 player missing 1 game that counts. Let's all calm ourselves.
  20. If this really is an MCL injury, it's serious and could mess with him the rest of the season, but this isn't suicide-worthy like an ACL tear would be. If he's back Week 2, we'll be fine. Didn't we survive Week 1 last year without Cam?
  21. Dr. Jonathan Slade thinks it's more likely an MCL tear where KB could be back Week 2 or 3. Take that for what it's worth.
  22. As for the thread, I'd be down with it. Big Kevin Greene fan. I wish the youngest ones here remembered him. In 1996, he was every bit as dominant a pass rusher was Julius Peppers was. RIP zone blitz
  23. Trivia fact that only hardcore Panthers nerds know: We already have a Hall of Fame entry. Reggie White played for us for one season. It was his last year and he did nothing here. Doesn't change the fact that the Panthers are officially recognized as having a player in.
  24. I think ST will be improved (they would have to be by default), but the statement "there is only so much impact special teams can have" is something I don't agree with. I forget the exact stat, but horrendous special teams play last year (mainly on coverage, protection for the punter, and returns) spotted an average of 5 points to the opposing team. That is a HUGE impact. Under Rivera, special teams have been at best only slightly bad and at worst apocalyptically bad. We'll see about 2015.
