Well they might have taken him at 39 if not for LA. This is a lot better than that.
They were going to take him at 39. He was the pick. They were able to still get him and get a 2nd round pick in 2025

Told y’all it was for Brooks. They didn’t want cb in the 2nd. Wasn’t an option at 39. They want weapons for Bryce and that’s the focus in this draft.

Brooks or Jenkins at 52

They wasn’t going CB if they stay at 39.

There was only about 14-15 first round players in this draft and all of them have been drafted.

Has a carolina fan don't expect any respect from the national media
If we were 82-0, we would still be 1st round underdogs
Let's just hope if we advance, Bally comes with us
Actually considered the cup favorites right now odds wise.

Gonna have to go back and rewatch national broadcast for the second half of 2 and third period. I bet the announcers were fawning over the islanders.
They were from the start. It was gross

This is normal, they also act like the Canes haven't staged massive comebacks before
It's particularly annoying because the bandwagon hockey fans who didn't watch a game all year show up on the team
I watch all year but I’ve always said that Brindy’s system doesn’t work in the playoffs. This isn’t the first time I’ve said it.

We ain’t scoring 4, I’ll eat my hat if that happens. I’ll be back for the Oilers game.
With the system in place, no chance in hell of 4 happening. I’d say the isles scoring 6 is more likely

Brindy’s system doesn’t work in the playoffs and it eliminates special players from typically being special. Dump and chase doesn’t work when teams tighten up and can easily take it away.

NFL.com 5 round mock has us doing this trade and then not taking a WR at all in the 2nd and taking a DT and TE. Lol

Be careful, I was told yesterday that our defense was solid. While signing Clowney helped that, I still agree that CB, and ILB are big needs and day 1 starters can be found at 33, 39, and 65. The same can be said for C and WR (deep draft). I would love for those 4 positions to be addressed with our first 4 picks. I have a feeling that if the right ILB is there, Morgan will have a hard time passing on him.
You expect 3 day 1 starters from a draft with no first round pick?
NFL hit rate after round 1 goes down hard. 3rd round picks are like 20% odds to find a starter.

I broke down and bought it last night, but haven’t installed it yet.

I have 15 solid 1st rounders, then there's a big drop, but it's a late first type talent. I don't find a major difference in the guys in the late teens vs. whose available R2 until you're around pick 40-45 this year.
So I wouldn't qualify them all a sure fire first round talent, I probably said that a bit strangley--it's more that 16-33 are at a much more even playing field with 34-45 than 1-15.
That makes more sense. I was confused a bit. Lol

RP. He fits our needs to a tee and I have a hard time seeing how he doesn’t immediately have an impact in this league. I’m just a huge fan. Would hate to force a WR but Pearsall is my WR7 and has floated 35-40 on my big board. Franklin and McConkey are close, but I have question marks on Ladd and don’t think Troy is a fit (big fan of his though). Worthy and Legette are further down.
It’s tough this year—my 2 cents is if Mitchell is gone as WR5 (and WR6 Coleman too who I don’t deem a fit), we need to consider BPA.
There will be 1st round value at DL, IOL, and DB at 33 (along with WR). There’s just too many first round grades for round 1. I have about 42ish…
There’s a lot of scenarios where someone like Newton, Darius Rob, Chop, Kool-Aid, Suamatia, Guyton, Morgan, Barton, or Wiggins is there for us. A few of those are hard to pass on just to take WR because we need one.
42 first round grades???
teams usually only have about 18-20 players rated first round.
Matt Miller has 16 players graded first round.

Not bad value if he can get 6-8 sacks each season and be effective rushing.

I get you on Ladd but most teams had JPJ as a guard including LV
