Their Run D was bad against Detroit too. They only beat Detroit because of those interceptions the Lions tossed to them.

Ohio state just has way more talent in general. Coaching only gets you so far in lopsided talent matchups. We've seen that in cfp this year especially in R1 where the favorites just roflstomped the other teams.

Will Howard raised his draft stock a good bit in the CFP man. He might have been a late round flier before the this season in general. Ohio State is gonna have a ton of players drafted I think the NFL might be more prone to draft these older QBs with several years of starting in college because it's been working lately with Jayden Daniel's, Bo Nix, Penix.

Jeremiah Smith might come out the same year as Arch Manning in the 2027 draft. OH weeeee will that be a fun class.

I have a feeling the panthers draft board could be something like 1. Abdul Carter 2. Will Johnson 3. Mason Graham 4. Tet McMillain In that order. We have no shot or interest in Ward or Sanders. No shot at Travis Hunter. So that basically leaves 4-6 players on a realstic draft board for the Panthers.

This fuging franchise just isn't good at drafting wrs. Outside of Musin Muhammad, Steve Smith, and DJ Moore. In 25+ years as a franchise. I wouldn't be surprised if the get another wr in r1 or r2 this year. They'll keep doing it until we get a aj brown/dk Metcalf type dude they keep desperately trying to find

Sometimes I feel like the panthers just out think themselves evaluating talent in the draft. Draft the healthy dudes with good college production and good upside. Stop investing high picks into project players (legette/mingo) or injured players (brooks).

Stop drafting wrs with high picks lol. We drafted legette, Mingo, and TMJ in recent years and none of them have worked out thus far.

This is a huge contributing factor as to why our defense has been so terrible We haven't used a 1st round pick on a defender since getting Horn in 2021. Also strikingly, SEVEN out of our last eight top 2 picks in the draft are all offensive players. 3 of those 7 picks are one QB and two WRs that aren't even on the team anymore Needless to say. I'd be pretty miffed if we get another offensive player in 2025.
