  1. Pretty sure his first two didn't do anything postivie towards his development. If anything, they damaged him. Not using that as an excuse...just saying.
  2. And Young played as well, if not better, than the one who was never bad when comparing their second seasons.
  3. What if Young starts playing like he did after his benching last season. What does it say then?
  4. Not sure there are any other options at this time or they would have already implemented them. I think Canales needs to do a better job with time management, play calling and having the players ready but I can't make any of that happen. I think him supporting Legette is fine but I don't think he has earned the no 2 receiver spot - hell, not even the 3 or 4 spot but I would guess he will still be out there next Sunday. I don't thnk Evero should have been brought back but he was. Again, I don't have an answer - I just don't think Young is as much of the problem as most people here believe.
  5. No, if he ends the season doing badly I'll admit it. I'm not so invested in him or my ego that I can't admit that everyone on the board was right. In the meantime, I have hope he can turn it around
  6. Afraid I don't have a solution other than being patient. I am sure that won't go over well with most people here but it's early in the season. Hopefully he can build on his second half from last week.
  7. Not all the video are showing up but I stand corrected.
  8. He outperformed Mayfield, Darnold and Jones statistically when compariing their second year of play. Did you watch any of the games after he came off the bench last season?
  9. I just highlighted previous Panthers QB's that the board has trashed. The others were added as they had similar fates.
  10. Since you are so enamored with their physical tools, let's look at thier performance in their second year. Jones, 62% comp, 11 TD, 10 Int, (1.1 td to int ratio) 0 game winning drives, 80.4 rating Darnold 62% comp, 19 TD, 13 Int, (1.46 td to int ratio) 3 gwd and an 84.3 rating Mayfield 59.4% comp, 22 td, 21 int, (1.0 td to int ratio) 1 gwd and a 78.8 rating Young (all year) 61% comp, 15 td, 9 int, ( 1.6 td to int ratio), 4 gwd and a 82.2 rating Young (after benching) 62% comp, 15 td, 6 int, ( 2.5 td to int ratio) 4 gwd and an 84 rating I don't see how he this that much worse regardless of his physical traits.
  11. Not sure I want Canales gone as much as I want him to find a sense of urgency and get a little more creative with his play calling. But I can't disagreee with what you say
  12. lack of proofreading doesn't change the facts.
  13. I don't know its fair to compare Prime Mannning and Brees to Young after two seasons especially given his first was with Reich who I think did more harm than good to Young's development.
  14. I think it is easy to spend too much time worrying about the physical tools, or lack thereof. I suppose Cam spoiled everyone here. Manning didn't have the physical tools - maybe height - but nothing else. Brees didn't, Murray doesn't, etc.
  15. Then you are making my argument for me that he is a big part of the problem here.
  16. Of course not but neither could Brees and I doubt Murray with the Cardinals could do a sneak either. No doubt, he does play with some limitations. That doesn't make him bad
  17. Football players dont magically grow taller from their senior year to starting in the NFL. Young had success playting against players with the same height as NFL players while in college. They may be better and stronger, but they are not taller so if his height wasn't a problem in College, than it shouldn't be in the NFL.
  18. I disagree. I think Mayfield with Canales would have been successful here. They were at least while together in Tampa.
  19. I'm simply pointing out how fast everyone is to judge QB's and blame all the Panther's ills on their play while completly ignoring the coaching/development staff.
  20. And they all have more years of experience and are in a MUCH better environment from a coaching standpoint. I'm not sure any of them were that much better at the end of their second year
