I fine with Burns leaving, I am not fine with Evero staying.

If Young plays and Rico is the starter, the Panthers win a tight one that will go down to the wire. You heard it here first!
-
Exactly! It isn't that rare. My point was his argument about Youngs lack of passing yards against the Falcons and Jets wasn't as bad a thing as he was trying to make it to be.
-
You're right. My bad. I stand corrected.

Cam Newton gets into it with Alabama A&M mascotcranky replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers Didn't he get into a fight with another masscot or was it someone at a camp. I can't remember

If you can't understand something that simple, than you are correct it's not worth my time
-
	Exactly!
-
LOL. I can assure you it was NOT me.
-
Jameis Winston averaged close to 270 yards per game his first three years and we see what that got him. It's not all about the yards.
-
Better to take three seasons to get there than start all over again
-
if you go back and read every post, you will see I was responding to why a QB doesn't always need to pass for 300 yards a game to be good. Sometimes 150 is fine - so long as you get the win.
-
You mean the one complining about the graph as opposed to the data. Yea, he's really taking me to task lol
-
They are every game he has started as a Panthers bioth before and after his benching. How in the world can you say that is random. Jesus christ my guy.
-
I just looked and he averaged around 16 yards a game those first 6 gammes. But that's besides teh point. The point is you don't pass when you don't need to.
-
	Agreed.
-
	Great arguement.
-
Funny how you are talking about the chart and not the data.
-
I am not saying he is better than the last three games of last year. I'm just saying his performance is trending up. if it continues, he will be back where he was at the end of last year.
-
Because that is the smart thing to do in those games regardless who your QB is. The Panthers went to the SB in 2015 with Newton as their QB. It was unarguably his best year ever and yet he averaged less than 200 yards per game for for his first 6 games. Just a couple of yards better than Young. Why, because that's all the team needed him to do to win.

I simply plotted his qb rating from pro-football-reference.com into an excel spreadsheet. The y axis is his qb ranking and the x axis are his starts. He has 17 starts before his benching and 16 starts after. After putting the data into excel, I had it create a graph and then plot the trend. I'm sorry it's so difficult for you to understand. I thought it was fairly simple but apparently it went over your head. I could try to dumb it down for you some but I don't think that's possible.

Dalton is 1-5 as a starter. I wouldn't hold my breath.
-
Odd you forgot to include the Cowboys game. As far as the Falcons and Jets games, he did exactly what the coaching staff wanted him to do. Play ultraconservatively protecting the ball. He didnt need to put up 300 yards. Yes, the Jags was a poo show. So was the first game his second season and his first game his first season. For whatever reason his first game of the season are all turds Then he had the early turnovers against the Cardinals which was ugly as well, but after that, he played good.
-
The problem with the eyeball test is some people use confirmational bias as lenses.
-
Also to be clear, these are just when he started the game so they only reflect his qb rating
-
Impatience gets you 10 qbs in 7 years. That's not a recipe for success
