  1. The Voth article said they are leaning on JR. Maybe they say "sure I want him back" to the press, but I doubt many would go to the boss to lobby for someone they are just paying lip service for. Also sources say that Rivera is lobbying FO as well according to Jason Cole I think
  2. That isn't really fair. Even if someone is upset or depressed they may find other ways to distract themselves, or vent, or just try to return to normalcy. Stephon Marbury created zany YouTube videos when he was suicidal. How many comedians perform nearly every night then do hard drugs to cope or eventually commit suicide? Creative outlets are good for dealing with sadness or depression. Look I love you Zod, not trying to respond to every one of your posts. I just disagree.
  3. Defending Greg Hardy and wanting him back is not unreasonable or emotional IMO. I am good if they part ways. I still think that is the most likely outcome. Just want things to be fair for Hardy. I don't think he should be suspended 6 games even if he is playing for the Falcons. I feel like he has been punished enough, and especially because I don't really buy Holder's story.
  4. I thought you were asking about courts overturning excessive suspensions.
  5. Different set of circumstances but Ray Rice suspension overturned by court
  6. There is no precedent for a guy being forced to sit out 16 games and then trying to suspend them again based on a rule that was retroactively created after the issue occurred. When Hardy got in trouble the suspension was 2 games. After the fact, they increased it to 6. How the courts rule on the Peterson case will be big on what the NFL can and can't do. This would be appealed and probably go to the courts as well. He would effectively be getting punished much more harshly than two players who got caught and admitted guilt.
  7. You can't reach a settlement in NC that is conditioned on a victim not testifying or not appearing in court. The DA left that part out when he was trying to manipulate the press (successfully apparently)
  8. A judge might This will end up in a courtroom if they suspend him
  9. I was a basketball player. I didn't go pro but all I wanted to do was play basketball. That was my first love. Take that away from me I would cry like a baby. It is like saying if someone took you first born child but paid you for it you should be happy about it cause you got paid
  10. Jason Cole also cited sources saying Ron Rivera was going to lobby front office in coming weeks to bring Hardy back
  11. The DA is being coy and knew what it was doing when they said a civil settlement may have been reached (remember they didn't say they knew one had been reached) What they didn't say was that any civil settlement cannot be contingent on a victim not testifying or appearing. She flaked. She was telling the DA all the way back in October she didn't want another trial. Then quit talking to them altogether in November. Again, you can't reach a settlement that has the condition she not testify or evade service (i.e. not show up) DA probably got excited about a high profile case, she probably got cold feet, DA tells Holder "Even so i will just subpoena you", so she goes onto hiding to avoid it. DA has egg on his face. Leaks possible settlement to save face. That is my theory. A victim can reach a settlement where she can ask the DA to go easy on defendant, accept a plea bargain, or drop the charges. That is the extent of any settlement can do and it remains the DA's discretion how to proceed. And as always if I am wrong any Huddle lawyers feel free to correct me ETA: it is also not allowed for an attorney to advise a client to go into hiding or give instructions how to do it, but they can explain consequences if client asks about what may happen
  12. Ray Rice won his appeal to the courts, but circumstances were different Peterson still has a case that needs to be resolved thay could more directly influence what happens to Hardy I still don't think he gets suspended and if he does i fully expect that it will end up in court too
  13. Good choices. Gotta go with Montsta and Lola as first two. But all good choices
  14. power is the ultimate aphrodisiac. So bring on those high-school girls!! I meant that in the sense of other Huddlers that are acting like high school girls and not literal high school girls. Kind of
  15. There is no pie in mobile version right now.
  16. I would also like to point out that I give pie liberally. I am kind of a Huddleslut that way giving out pie to anyone and everyone
  17. My qualifications are: my wife ignores me so I have plenty of time to Huddle I rarely sleep I love puppies I go through spells of only posting in gif and meme form I helped bring PFFL and TRD to justice I meet all the mandatory Cam Newton nuthugger prerequisites I would allow (actually encourage) my wife to cheat on me with Luke Kuechly if the opportunity presented itself
  18. Yes plz. I was dissapointed that we didn't get him back, but understood why after seeing what he got paid. I would take him back in a heartbeat
  19. The reason it isn't going to happen is because he was just forced to sit for 16 games. You might want to get into the minutiae of whether that is technically considered a suspension or not, to Greg Hardy and the NFLPA will contend that it was. And the union is going to fight very hard to not allow the league to set a precedent of double suspensions, once when accused and again after resolution. NFLPA I imagine would fight this tooth and nail. I think it would be more likely to see Hardy get a severe fine from the league and even that would be appealed. You can't look at past cases because there aren't any cases where a player was already forced to sit out 16 games while being tarred and feathered costing him potentially millions in future earnings
