Maybe because it was historically the worst defense ever and the offense made strides second half the season. The defense couldn't stop a nose bleed and was the scapegoat for a lot of losses. The Panthers atleast have an identity on offense to run the ball, and they were able to do that on some of the best teams in the league. They cannot however stop the run, rush the passer or defend the pass consistently because they can't pressure the QB enough. Hell, they had to start practice squad players a lot of games. Only 2 stand out players on defense and one of them is coming back from a season long injury. If they decided to go defense the entire draft nobody should even have a problem with it.

Yes, but this is in comparison to other QBs that were coming out in that class with him which is looking to be really bad if you remove stroud. It was stated numerous time during the draft process that QB class wasnt that good and they would all rank below future QB classes if they were in other drafts.

Man folks right on this site said Deion was gonna follow his son to the nfl and have a big impact on his draft stock with his interference and yet we have seen no such thing. He just signed an extension to stay in Colorado for the foreseeable future. The only thing we have seen is so called experts try to tank shedeurs stock with false accusations and rumors and deion just had to step in and shut it down.
