Yes we beat them at their own game frequently two playoff series wins over them one were we had almost no scoring forwards.

NHL draft picks dont hold the same value as NFL picks outside of the top player or three of a draft most will not see NHL time for at least 3-4 years.... The Canes have a gluttony of players and picks in their pipeline the past 5 years and this year and last year are the first two times pretty much ever they have made a big splash, also take into account these picks they traded are pretty much a round lower because the Canes are a very good team. That said I expect they make it a huge priority to get him resigned in season.

For all of our complaining this year, we are still a top 4 team in the NHL.... Let that sink in. Adding a previous 50 goal scorer and current pace 40 goal guy is a huge shot in the arm to scoring. With our goalies healthy I suspect we get the defensive issues in hand.
