Of those small markets none have won insane odds to jump up in lotto picks except the oilers..... The Hurricanes, and Predators and to a lesser extent Calgary and the blues have been competitive by DRAFTING extremely well later on.

A lot of it is the system, Rods system isnt big in puck handling. I think they are settling in defensively and I can see them playing tonight with a lot more confidence because they know they CAN beat these guys.

Damn you. Im also going NIKISHIN but I've been going with him. Crazy hes only played 3 games in the NHL all playoffs and his impact is getting bigger by the period.

Yep him playing and looking fantastic (which every talking head and their mom expected) he isnt a normal prospect this is a guy that's if not generational close to it.... he's gonna be the canes first home grown (drafted) legit star. Plus Big, physical fast incredibly skilled puck handler? Yeah who needs that says rod hes a lefty

I mean Morrow has like 20 games under his belt at least..... but needless to say Nikishin should have been on the ice first period..... Yes booms English may not be great and he has 3 NHL games but he isnt a normal NHL prospect this is a guy who isn't just expected to be a top pair dman he's a guy who legitimately is being billed by almost everyone in NHL circles as someone who will quickly be a bona fide STAR. And I have to say he is as advertised.

I mean if there is one positive it should break the guys out of the mental fugue aspect of it..... they now know THEY CAN WIN agaist these dudes. One game at a time but if they can defend home ice wensday things will get interesting. Have to win 3 more strait games but if you keep winning 2 out of 3 are home.
