Granted its the bears but they have a foundation that is set up nicely and a ton of capital to elevate their roster

    but, yeah, it's the bears...

one of that group of teams that always comes up short no matter how hard they(we) try.

They act as if this is a game of musical chairs.  Corbett needs to be able to do the job.  He is 29 and learning a new position.  I am confident that they are confident, but I do not think this rules out drafting a C late.   I should note that Cade Mays was at different schools and played various positions.  I think if he is given one position and learns as much as possible this year, he could be better than most here envision.  I just don't get spending $150m at G, a $30m RT, and a first round draft pick LT and then saying, "Let's experiment at C"  They must have more information than we do.

seriously, i've kind of been thinking the same thing. something about it just doesn't make sense.

i keep going back to Connor Williams. Are they waiting to see medical reports from him? Are they waiting till after the draft so the price will come down? Seems like an obvious choice...except his medical history looks like Corbett's.

    i don't know.

In order to get what you are saying the double dip need to be two of the first three picks.  You can't count on late round guys.  Again, if the board says another WR is the BPA, then I'm all for it.  I don't want to reach just so the WR room can be deeper--rather have more bodies.  Especially when a guy at another position is ranked higher on our board.

  4. I don't care how they make it work as long as they make it work.

    Honestly, no one should.

Life doesn't often fit into the nice tidy boxes we all think it should and football is the same way.

I get it, we have this perception of how it's all supposed to be done, but it just doesn't often work out like that.

I stead of bitching and moaning about how it doesn't look like we think it should, maybe just sit back and let them figure it out. It does matter how it should have been. Only thing that matters is accepting how it is and figuring it out from there.

This is where I'm at. If it begins to upset my mood I do not need to be involved with it. The whole state of the franchise has become quite amusing to me. I find enjoyment win there's something positive that happens, no matter how small.  I've learned to laugh at the negative elements that exist because that's how bad it's gotten. I've become accustomed to expect the worst and count anything positive as a blessing. It is what it is - old Foxy

someone told me once the best way to eat fish is eat the meat, leave the bones. take the good stuff and be happy for it and leave the bad stuff behind.

now if i was in a position to make change happen, then it would be important for me to pay more attention to the bones. as a fan, though, i don't bear that responsibility. i don't need it. i don't want it. i've got enough on me as it is. i need to have things in my life that give me an escape from all of that (not that i need to escape from my life, it's actually quite good) but i have to make a lot of decisions and be hyper critical in other areas of my life.

i'm quite happy to leave that stuff to guys that get paid to do it while i sit back and try to enjoy as much as i can.
