100% of Panther fans should be wanting him to be working on things that he was weak at or could improve at, or just working on anything he can think of to make himself better at his job.

It seems the disagreement is over whether or not fans are entitled to know the details. Why would anybody Not want to hear that he is working?

It is true that no one is obligated to give us reports. But I think that if they are doing something to rehab their shortcomings and weak areas, it is a better idea to put that out there, than to say nothing.

on the grand scheme it doesn't matter at all to see these videos except to make some fans happy and it's likely mostly those fans who think he's a bust/bum anyways.

we think it's important for us to know, but really it's not.

the thing is, if he was posting that stuff, people who already don't like him would find a way to negatively spin it anyways, saying it's just for publicity and things like "i'll wait til i see it in real games" or whatever.

people who aren't satisfied with not seeing wouldn't be satisfied with anything they actually saw because they already made up their minds and are just looking for anything to confirm what they think they know and whatever they see or don't see is just further confirmation in their minds.

for me, i'm going to give this coaching staff and their working with players the benefit of the doubt.

I have seen Legette going higher in a few mocks, but for the most part, he is a mid second round guy.  I like the kid--and he WANTS to be here-that is saying something.  I remember when we signed Star Loutulei or whatever, from Utah and he said at his presser (paraphrasing):  I guess I know now where I will be living for the next four or five years."

Legette is a boom or bust pick.  Of course, that translate to bust by the time the Huddle processes it.  He is a 21 year old kid who wants to play for his home state team and he is talking it up.  Good for him.

yep. i mean this could be huge for us. not just excited about getting a job in the NFL, but excited about playing for his home team? there's no doubting his work ethic. the guy has constantly pushed himself for more opportunity and to make the most of those opportunities and never gave up. he could have easily transferred to another school who would have given him more opportunity but he stuck with it.

Hard to say, but It doesn't sound like this journalist thinks TE is in the cards.

Having the #1 seat at the waiver wire table could be huge if a team reluctantly has to cut a decent player.

it's darin gantt. i've got mixed feelings about him.

i would like to see us draft and then pick up a vet TE. that would be pretty ideal. we need to get at least one more, though.

yeah, worst case scenario is teams know Carolina likes a kid....that their insiders already knew the Panthers liked.

wouldn't be any kind of secret.

thing is i wouldn't hate it. if he's as good as we think....it wouldn't matter where we draft him as long as we get him.

and it's entirely possible that he would be gone by 39 if we tried coming back around for him. WRs gonna be flying off the board.

get him and pearsall or malik washington and we're good.

Frank R. said that last year.

    • Tremble, 194 yards, 3 TDs (no drops) Caught 72% of targets.  (This is something to build on)
    • Hurst (Now a Charger, I think) 184 yards, 1 TD, (2 drops) Caught 56% of targets.
    • Sullivan 125 yards, 0 TDs, (1 drop) Caught 50% of targets.
    • Thomas 56 yards, 0 TDs, (1 drop) Caught 56% of targets.

I see Tremble showing signs of breaking out in a new system.  The others are trash.

    agreed.

i think i heard something about thomas being a good blocker.

he might be, but you wouldn't know.

keep tremble...churn the rest of the group. draft 2 WRs and 2 TEs and a center and call it a weekend.

Think they are clearly factoring in Canales' TE usage last year in their evaluation.

The TEs in Tampa caught less balls and had less yardage than the Panthers TEs last year.  And the TEs last year sucked here.

It's really hard to guess what the plan for this O will be next year.  All we have really heard is the coach saying we want to run the ball (despite them being bad at that in Tampa last year).

i'm hoping that the fact they have met with at least Wiley means that they are looking in that direction.

they could have other plans, though. maybe it's just they are looking at him as a tall pass catcher.

I hate to say it, but we saw this exact same stuff last year with Reich. All the, why didn’t Rhule do this or that talk.

I’m just in a wait and see mode because right now we are seeing the same PR as we’ve seen multiple times before.

Hopefully, we have a good draft but I’ll be honest. I just want to hear that we are  going after the best and most talented players not just people who fit a scheme. This team is so devoid of pure football talent that it worries me that we might draft a guy who supposedly fits our scheme over a guy who’s flat out a better player.

well, that's the thing that they said they were doing...that' it's not about the X's and O's first, it's about getting them dawgs and then figuring the X and O stuff later.

and i don't think they/we were have the same conversations with reich & co.  they were too busy talking about how clever they were for not discussing the #1 pick with each other and waiting till the last moment to talk about it so they could be sure they were all on the same page. i mean they and everyone else were singularly focused no that #1 pick. looking back there was no real meat to anything they said. it was fluff. all of it. you might think that canales and morgan is a lot of fluff, but reich had nothing but that going on. fitt didn't know anything either. you never got a sense from him that he was a football guy. he carried himself like a good used car salesman.

I think the truth is that most young QB's struggle in tough situations like Bryce was in. Only the truly elite don't. Which, I think we can all probably agree Bryce is not going to ever be a super elite guy.

i really hope he proves us all wrong.

would be nice not to have to worry about that for a while.
