Hornets Can't Escape Mediocrity

College has nothing to do with it and I'm sick of UNC and Duke homers ruining threads about Duke and UNC players like there's some inherent bias.

This is akin to DG either trading away for a ton of stuff instead of taking Star or passing on Star entirely for a different player.

To be fair, Winslow was never a threat to go number one and didn't fall as far as Star did, but he was clearly the best player available at that point. Frank, though he may end up being a solid pro, fits the "Charlotte draft bust" prototype all too well, and thus everyone pounced.

Everyone wants to talk "Woe is us" about luck and circumstances, but the fact is, with trades like Vonleh and picks like Zeller and Kaminsky, Charlotte brings the bad luck on themselves.

I didn't say anything about Duke vs UNC. I think it comes down to simple local name recognition.

You can sit around being miserable if you choose. I'll go with cautious optimism.

At this rate, Winslow better be a legit future HOF talent with all the crying that's gone on in this sub forum.

I haven't even seen poo this bad months after a Panthers draft.

    • We dont know how anyone feels about going forward with bryce, nobody has asked anyone the question.  We do know through actions that there is no fuging way Canales overly trusts him behind center.  I dont know after 30+ games how the hell you couldnt have a concrete opinion by now. Ellis was all over fnz and twitter today screaming about "letting it play out".  What the fug is 5 games going to show you after all we have seen?  Everyone but a few on here rightly, thought he had turned the proverbial corner last year.  It was clearly smoke and mirrors.   He could win out and they still have to bring in competition, you simply cannot risk it again him being dogshit to start the year and then when he levels out its the classic sub 200 games. I half assed looked for the quote from whatever writer (maybe it was on a podcast) about how after the atl game running it back was a real possibility with Dalton and bryce.  There is simply no way that could possibly happen.  No way.  Thats some playground poo.
