We put up 35 points against the Lions the very next week, then went 4-2 after that. The world isn't ending and there are still 16 weeks left in the season. Quit crying.

At the least, we have gametape on Payton-less Saints*.

These fuging threads.

And yes, it's still a problem that this team is coming out and falling flat as the ball is kicked off. It's a sign of terrible coaching.

Titans game for me last year:

11:00am: Arrived.

Noon: Drunk.

Halftime: Wasted.

Post-game: Me: 'Where to now'? The rest: 'Wherever they serve alcohol'.

...stuff...

8am Monday: Me: 'It's a new week and I really need a bloody mary!'.

I think the bye week was the week before the Titans game. Either way, the effort today reminded me of the Titan's game right away.

Key word: effort

These guys showed absolutely no effort today, and poo like this has to end. It literally looked like John Fox football team out there today. No creativity, sloppiness, and no effort.

Would you rather see all the other threads about everyone acting like the world is ending? I'm trying to put a small bit of optimism on the black hole of the Huddle and you say that. what the hell

It's hard to win on the road in a season opener.

I love this 4-2 sunshine story. We beat the Bucs and Colts for a total of 3 win who happened to be two of the worse teams last year, and the Texans who were playing with a 3rd string QB.

say what you want, but wins are wins. all i'm saying is that this crappy performance really isn't that much to worry about. besides, is Tampa really all that bad? Their downfall last year was bad coaching. They've always had a talented team. They improved it in the off-season and they were able to beat us. Everyone around here, including myself, rode this off as a win but they are actually a good team in my opinion.

We also managed to beat the Gabbert Jags, and the Grossman/Beck Redskins only after Hightower who was gashing us got injured.
