Yas's two pennies are worth no more than Jaw's two pennies, and Bowers over Hardy proves that

I don't think I will argue with his top 10 but Doug Martin being a top 10 player already is anointing him too fast.  His love for the Bucs isn't surprising though.

Then you would agree putting Kuechly as #9 is anointing him too fast as well, right?  They have played just as long.

Doug Martin is a beast.  Loved him as a prospect and unfortunately, he had to get drafted by Tampa.  Knew he would be a great halfback.

If Hardy isn't on that list with Bowers at 25 then it is kind of a joke.

I'd argue that Martin is definitely in the Top 15 after the year he had but I gotta rank Kuechly above him because he won DROY and made our defense a Top 10 one.

http://espn.go.com/b...h-top-25-no-9-2

The list so far (since we love offseason lists):
9 - Luke Keuchly, linebacker, Panthers
10 - Roddy White, wide receiver, Falcons
11 - Ryan Kalil, center, Panthers
12 - Carl Nicks, guard, Buccaneers
13 - Darren Sproles, running back, Saints
14 - Charles Johnson, defensive end, Panthers
15 - Gerald McCoy, defensive tackle, Buccaneers
16 - Vincent Jackson, wide receiver, Buccaneers
17 - Tony Gonzalez, tight end, Falcons
18 - Dashon Goldson, safety, Buccaneers
19 - Sean Weatherspoon, linebacker, Falcons
20 - Lavonte David, linebacker, Buccaneers
21 - Steve Smith, wide receiver, Carolina Panthers
22 - Steven Jackson, running back, Atlanta Falcons
23 - Josh Freeman, quarterback, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
24 - Marques Colston, wide receiver, New Orleans Saints
25 - Da'Quan Bowers, defensive end, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Still waiting for spots:

Matt Ryan, quarterback, Falcons
Julio Jones, wide receiver, Falcons
Drew Brees, quarterback, Saints
Jimmy Graham, tight end, Saints
Jahri Evans, offensive guard, Saints
Cam Newton, quarterback, Panthers
Greg Hardy, defensive end, Panthers
Jon Beason, linebacker, Panthers
Doug Martin, running back, Buccaneers
Darrelle Revis, cornerback, Buccaneers

I'm kind of feeling like Cam is the only remaining Panther that's going to make it. And it looks like Yas thinks the Bucs have 9 out of the top 25 players in the South.

Hardy will. Beason and Evans won't.

So how is Revis number 5 when he didn't play in 2012 and is coming off a serious knee injury? He hasn't played 1 down in the NFc South. McCoy at 8 also makes little sense when his numbers were worse than our own Dwan Edwards.  Edwards had 6 sacks and 52 tackles to McCoy's 5 sacks and 30 tackles.

Kuechly already rated higher than Smitty, C J and Kalil based on just his rookie season?

I like Luke, but I'm not sure I'd go that far.

Hardy technically COULD still be on this list...I've counted 7 surefire locks in Brees, Cam, Ryan, Julio, Jimmy Graham, Doug Martin, and Revis. I'm thinking the last spot probably goes to Jahri Evans but just MAYBE Hardy is there...

When he talked about Charles Johnson at 14, he mentioned Hardy and gave him his props...so he obviously recognizes his talent.

I don't think Yas will rank him either, but I can certainly see him having the bigger season.  He's gotten better each year, and he's playing for his next contract.

I bet we can all go around and around on who will do better, CJ or the Kraken, but is there anyone out there who doesn't think each will have a better year than Bowers?

I am not arguing otherwise.  My point is if it is too early to rank Martin in the top 10, then I would figure he would agree it is too early to rank Kuechly in the top 10 as well considering both have the same amount of years played.  Unless somehow it is "different."

On that same token, Charles Johnson is once again criminally underrated.  Kuechly, as of this moment, is not better than him.

- Like it or not, Revis is the best corner in the NFL until proven otherwise. He's earned the benefit of the doubt.

- Numbers don't highlight everything. Take McCoy out of that starting line up, and The Bucs' DL isn't as effective up the middle. Miller was a two-down DT with limited pass rush. In addition, Gerald did a better job at defending against the run than D. Edwards.
