I think DG is systematically fixing problems, salary cap, players that no longer fit the plan, players that should never have been part of the plan, etc. etc.

Don't be surprised if double trouble is on the list.  We have too much money tied-up in our backfield with Dwill carrying practically all the load.

I expect that DG will wait til he can see Stewart in a game or something to evaluate, but maybe I'm wrong. Obviously it'd be better for him to take the young ones of the bunch. No hate to DWill. But, if Stewart can't stay healthy after coming back or he doesn't show up - I can see Stewart being dumped off instead.

What you mean?

He's on the 53 man roster, but hasnt been activated on game day yet.

Correct, you can only have 45 players active game day.

how come we have been waiting so late to fill up all of our roster spots? We still have 1 open and it's Thursday. Last week we didn't fill the last roster spot till Friday or Saturday.

Technically, we don't have an open spot.

Per Jonathan Jones, Silatolu hasn't officially been placed on IR yet.

Why the delay? Unknown.

The roster move was a weird one. How much better can this scrub be than Armanti? (serious question), because AE was probably average for a #5 WR. Now we have a new guy in here whom we have to pay (so we didn't save much if any towards the cap) and he has to learn our entire system.

The only point I see is to make a statement, light a fire perhaps....

also, keep in mind that atlanta was going to be out looking for a reciever too... if gettleman liked mcnutt and suspected ATL did too that would be enough reason to go ahead and get it done... get a guy we liked a little more than a guy we had and deprive a rival of someone we viewed as talented...

just spitballing.

If he scores one touchdown this season, it'll be one more than Armanti scored in three years.

If he can top 5 catches for 121 yards, he'll break his receiving mark.

Makes me sick honestly.

If you think back to that trade and pick....I was screaming at my TV like a mad man.

I remember raising an eyebrow.

Trading next year's second rounder made me wince ("Marty" I said, shaking my head) but I was willing to give it a chance.

In hindsight, you have to rank it pretty high on Marty Hurney's list of worst draft blunders.

That's a pretty long list..

But hey, you don't need a 5th receiver when you keep having to put in an extra RB / FB / TE to max protect a leaky line.
