#2515214 After we beat the Taints in the Dome, RR will be above .500

Posted by CarolinaCoolin on 26 November 2013 - 07:07 PM

Rivera deserves this...ive been very very harsh on him and didnt know if it would ever get better but his complete change in coaching dymanic is kind of unprecedented, he literally has made a 360 in terms of philosophy which really doesnt happen ecspecially in the NFL....hes a great guy i dont think anyone has ever questioned that...but hes finally getting the job done which is the most important thing

360 would mean he ended up exactly where he started. You mean 180

Issac Hays died a few years later...maybe Matt and Trey knew something..

Or they killed him.

38 and a 1/2

That's super young but on the bright side you'll have a lot of time with the little guy. Again congrats on the addition to the family

#2510774 The Coaching Staff

Still don't like Mike Shula. We could be dominating games with better play calling. He almost cost us again today.

If ginn catches the ball and gano doesn't miss that early fg that's 10 extra points. 30-16 is around our average games. Execution is on the players. People love to try to make Shula a scapegoat

#2506346 Who Killed JFK?

Posted by CarolinaCoolin on 23 November 2013 - 11:52 PM

I think Oswald was part of it.

The Mafia had the most beef with Kennedy (they won him the election by winning him Illinois, then Bobby started cracking down on their business) and had the most to gain (alleged that LBJ had a cozy relationship with Mafia)

There was a strong mafia presence in New Orleans, they had the resources, and the ability to keep it quite.

The only problem is that the Mafia was traditionally very reluctant to kill politicians, judges, or police. They would if they had to, but they also knew doing so brings too much heat on them.

I think they used contacts within the CIA umbrella for logistics and finding their patsy to either carry it out or take the fall and then Jack Ruby to assure Oswald didn't rat them out.

This is the most logical of the theories IMO

#2503556 Steve Smith Career Watch

Posted by CarolinaCoolin on 21 November 2013 - 07:21 PM

Let me start off by saying I think Smith is a HOF-caliber receiver. Duh.

But unfortunately, a lot of people in this thread are making the mistake of comparing his stats with players in prior eras, and that's just not fair. It has gotten so much easier to throw the football in recent years it's not even funny. And the reality is, the HOF voters are very hesitant to put in WRs. It took Carter how many tries? And Tim Brown is still waiting, and you've gotta think after he gets in, and Marvin Harrison, they're gonna put another hold on it as they don't want to put in too many receivers all at once. Guys like Terrell Owens and Randy Moss will probably have to wait a few ballots, at least.

The problem with Smith is he has been held back by the QBing his entire career. If he'd had a quality passing QB (not to say Delhomme was always bad, but let's be real - he was average or slightly above average at his very best, and Smith and Moose carried him) during some of his peak years, he'd be a much stronger candidate statistically. I maintain, however, that he physically hasn't lost much, if anything, and Cam is just too eager to run, like most athletic QBs. I'm hoping the organization can at least see on film that he's still got it, and he'll get at least one more season to reemerge.

But just looking at the chart, if Isaac Bruce is 3rd all-time in yards, and he's going to have to wait a while to get in (if he gets in at all)...Smith is never going to be a lock. Especially with his lack of TDs.

TO and Moss are first ballots.

I think Tolbert and Rivera are good friends. Buddy if mine said he has seen them out together at dinner several times together...with their wives.

Real players coach. I think we might have found a hidden gem with riverboat Ron. Let's see what else he's got in the playoffs
