#3132722 Phil Jackson

Phil Jackson is clearly the best coach of all time. Kobe is not the best player of all time by any stretch of the imagination. I get your angle, but it isn't a good one.

#3132719 Kobe Bryant

I think his narcissistic tendencies combined with his relentless ballhogging will be overlooked by the casual NBA fan. People who don't ride his sack will view his career with an open mind and properly remember his shortcomings throughout his career.

He will forever be remembered for his play with Shaq earlier in his career. I just think he should have quit after he repeatedly showed his true character with the whole D'Antoni, Howard, and Nash situation. He is mildly tarnishing his legacy by all the controversy with the current team as well.

You will never see him take full responsibility for any of his shortcomings because he is too prideful. Like why not just admit that you are old and not able to handle the load like you used to? I predict that he will eventually be shown the door in LA, he will respond in Brett Favre fashion, too narcissistic and greedy to realize his max contract is not an entitlement.

I wish the word swag would be better recognized as an dumb word. Along with other tween-speak like thot, ratchet, and 'bae'.

God himself, if he existed, couldn't have won with our salary & roster. There was nothing Dave could've done. He's got the team headed in the right direction.

I disagree with this statement partly because God c make the impossible possible, and partly because he made some moves that digressed a superbowl contender into a pathetic basement dweller.

He is not exempt from criticism in the regard of the Greg Hardy fail, Steve Smith fail, Tyler Gaffney fail, Jason Avant cut, the mindset that welcomes Mike Shula in a play-calling position, Jordan Gross situation, and rag-tag offensive line philosophy that bewilders even the casual fan/armchair gm.

He should be treating this game like a loss. He said he wasn't going to. IMO if you don't win, you lose

Ricky Bobby is that you?

Lol a win is a win. They will be at their full strength regardless if he plays or not, this is the NFL.

I applaud the optimism in this thread. However, once our 'good' players actually perform on an average level then I will bang on my homer drums.

The Huddle told me Smith was done, and was only a shell of his former self. Slurping Gettledick all day long.
We could have had KB + Smith this year. Actually, just think of how fuged we would be if Gettleman's BPA wasn't KB? What is KB was taken? My god.

Yea but I think it's better this way, I don't just want to put off his inevitable cap penalties next year when we will need to resign our pro-bowl caliber players. Because Smith wasn't going to retire a Panther, he would've forced our hand to cut him just like he did this year. He's like 34 and your flipping out over one preseason game dude.
