  1. Rizz isn't 14 year old language. The fact you say that makes me question your character a bit. How Gruden of you...
  2. Story lines just changed. Shadeur Sanders is starting. I've been following the Browns camp pretty closely, they haven't given him many snaps with the ones at all, and few with the two's. The lack of gelling is going to be very obvious, even if Shadeur is capable. That said, he hasn't thrown an INT in camp and has the most touchdown passes while being close to 70% completion. If he plays well, the entirety of the broadcast will be about Shadeur. So mentally prepare yourself for that, whether you like him or not. Personally, I like the guy. Didn't really know much before about him and assumed he was going to be entitled but it doesn't come off that way when you see him speak and his actions there.
  3. What did you not understand? This stuff happened 10 years ago, it seems like none of it was criminal. In the interest of equality, and Watson getting his shot, I think Tucker deserves a second chance.
  4. You're too meta to 10-4 that there ain't ya? No cap.
  5. It shows a serious lack of care about what other people think of him, which is quintessential Gruden and why a lot of people, including people in the NFL, love him. He said what people say behind closed doors and as I said in an earlier post, if he had the right melanin count, it wouldn't have mattered. It's such a non-issue he still has open access all across the NFL. It was much ado about nothing from a guy who has been one of the guys going back to the 90's. The entire era around when this happened will be looked back on with disdain by most everyone.
  6. It really is mind blowing how we went from being one game out of the playoffs after a complete meltdown by Ickey in a single quarter to trading the farm for Bryce Young and completely restarting a rebuild without having a real core of talent to build around. Pure lunacy.
  7. Stewart is a Saint and a Good Man. I cannot take anything you say seriously until that is changed.
  8. They sure seem to give him a lot of access to not want to risk their brand with him. If there was a risk, he would have zero access to any NFL facilities. He also had the Raiders on the right path after what was a massive rebuilding operation when these emails leaked. What you say may be true, but what made him popular wasn't the Super Bowl.
  9. A lot of people do like him. Some of us grew up with Gruden as a sort of NFL icon and it wasn't because he won a Super Bowl or anything. It was the Chucky vibe, the intensity, the knowledge. He's just a cool dude.
  10. He's not a creep ANYMORE. He was a creep at one point. He's got that rizztraining order rizz, but it's rizz nonetheless.
  11. I'll let him know y'all said that he must succeed or he's shunned from any future Huddle interactions. I don't even know if kids get on message boards anymore. I think Reddit has taken over.
  12. My 12 year old loves baseball like my 8 year old loves video games. He eats, sleeps, and dreams baseball. I sort of wish he wouldn't, because he can throw almost any object really, really well. He's got that smooth elbow drop with zero wasted motion you like to see in a quarterback but he won't bite on it for me, just for a little bit. You worry about burnout, especially once puberty hits but his growth chart is showing like 6'2 or so and he's got some leanness to build on so I think he will physically be able to get there. It's all going to be mental, but like I said, baseball is life for him. It was never that way for me, even though I played travel and went all over. I preferred the flavor of the season. I'd go from soccer practice to football practice, go from soccer games to basketball open gym. I still get that feeling any time I smell a change in the seasons, and it's tied to sports for me to this day. The smell of cut grass is different when it's almost football/soccer season compared to the summer baseball season, as an example. That hits around the first week of August most of the time and really sets in the first week of September. I ended up with three college degrees after a tumultuous 18-20 year old period where I basically still hadn't come to terms with everything being over, being able to play sports competitively and the ultimate dream of flying jets. But, had my oldest son at 21, got my poo together, and here we are.
  13. There is a strong correlation between preseason wins and losses and regular season wins and losses. football is a game of attrition and losses in preseason show that your depth is lacking, and that depth will come into play later on. If the Panthers go 0-3, it would be another losing season 90% of the time.
  14. Definitely didn't come out good as new. My athletics dreams were over from that point on due to glass severing a nerve in my leg. Tried to reattach but couldn't get to it quick enough, you know, life over limb saying. Played travel ball, school ball, pretty much everything at a relatively high level for a 13 year old of the time. BUT, my now 12 year old seems to be on a trajectory to eventually be able to go play baseball on scholarship so I'm here for it. Thanks for the kind words!
  15. He literally coached football with majority of the roster being a minority. If he were racist, as was proclaimed, he wouldn't have made it as far as he did. He made comments that, if someone of the same melanin count made about the guy, would have been fine. He got to comfortable and said what he felt like saying because he's been one of the guys for what, 30+ years? Then someone leaked it without context, without explanation, and tried to ruin the guys life. Cancel culture is dead, thank god. I'd love to see Gruden make a come back to television calling games. Thursday Night Football could desperately use him because right now, the broadcast is atrocious,
  16. He is the only thing that has made Monday Night Football watcheable the past 20 years. Peyton and Eli have added something as well but I like Gruden.
  17. As an old VT fan from the Vick days (I was a kid, come on) I’d love to see Beamer at Tech. When I was 13 I was hit by a car, sent through the windshield and lodged in the glass while the car hit a tree. Died once. anyway, when I woke up, I predictably had a lot of cards and other things but my aunt brought one and it was a hand written card from Frank Beamer. Now this was in 2004 at the height of Hokie power, and I was at Carolinas Medical Center. To get a handwritten card hand delivered in Charlotte, that far from Blacksburg, from the man himself was a great feeling. I’ll forever be a Beamer family fan.
  18. Bill Belichik obviously. Wouldn’t mind it and I’d love to see the video. The dude knows football.
  19. He's probably made $40 million. Taxes, agents, money managers, etc. I could live on $40 million, and who am I to judge how much money is enough for one person? If they want more and have the means to get it reasonably without physically harming others, go for it. I'm not one to be envious of what others have though.
  20. Ickey is looking at a new contract as a back-up elsewhere. Certainly not here. I get the NC State fans and Charlotte nativists want to see him succeed, as we all do, but he's been hot garbage in the most important times. now he's being beat like a drum by a rookie. Even in shorts and shirts, that's embarrassing. I still think that had Ickey not been playing in 2022, Darnold would still be here. His complete meltdown against the Bucs was the butterfly wing flapping.
  21. You missed the multiple interceptions, off target throws, etc. which is fine because it's camp, but he's still got some of the same issues cropping up.
  22. Fans were allowed at camp until this year soo....
  23. Coker is nothing close to Theilen. Come on man. The closest thing the Panthers could get to Adam would have been Matthew Golden.
  24. Armanti Edwards made a lot of plays in camp as well. And I'm an App State fan. Camp means nothing in terms of individual performance in season. Preseason games mean next to nothing in terms of individual performances; though wins and losses do seem to correlate to team success. I want to see him succeed and the team to succeed but we've run this experiment before. We also had DJ Chark who is incredibly similar to McMillan.
  25. Meanwhile Matthew Golden is averaging about 25 yards of separation at Packers camp and making catches that are easy because HE CAN GET OPEN. He will make plays like this from time to time but at what cost? What will it cost Bryce to get him the ball in constantly tight coverage? How many more sacks might Bryce take waiting for him to break open? We really should have looked at what Bryce had at Alabama and tried to work with that. The Dolphins did this with Waddle and Hill. Golden would have made so much more sense here.
