First of all, I have probably forgotten more about football than you have ever learned. Burns sacks before age 25 is such a stupid stat. He was young coming into the league. Compare his number to other “star” defensive ends after 4 years in the nfl (not age) and he’s way down the list. He constantly gets taken out of the game by single blockers and tight ends. He misses a ton of tackles, especially at big times. He’s bad against the run. He doesn’t change the game. Burns is not worth a massive contract. Anyone who watches him every snap knows it. He gets taken out of plays easily and most of his sacks come when he is unblocked.

Most of my family are die hard Eagles fans. The last 3 weeks they have absolutely hated Shane. They claim he had been figured out and abandons the run. Sanders went from averaging 500 yards a year in the receiving game to not even being involved in it this year. He’s also being ignored for huge chunks of the game as a runner. Their success has been because of Hurts and Brown playing street ball

That burns is an average player who isn’t worth the hype. “Superstar” players don’t whiff regularly and rack up multiple offsides penalties in a game. JPP outplayed Burns and only played like 15 snaps
