    If they didn't have Penix waiting in the wings, it would be a shitshow. As it stands, just a run of the mill horrible contract decision. The Panthers have a long list of those.

    Tough to play a full season in your upper 30's especially since he's coming off a pretty serious injury. Falcons bet that Cousins had more good years left, lost, and hedged their bet with Penix.

    Getting a good RB in the second round isn't a steal, it's the average position to get a good RB if anything.

    They can’t reasonably fire a rookie head coach who was saddled with one of the worst first overall QBs of all time. And at times made said QB look decent to serviceable. If the team was 3-11 at this point next season, fire everyone.

    If anything you bench guys who you know won't be here next year, for contract reasons or age reasons (Clowney?) and see if there's any young guys who can stick around. Otherwise nothing to change. Roll Bryce out there and make him throw the ball.

    Bryce had a bad game. The fumbles are unacceptable and are the main reason Kyle Allen failed as a starter. I keep going back to how Bryce hasn’t shown me in any way that he’s better than Kyle Allen which is like, mystifying to me. Maybe he’s a little more mobile.

    Bryce is what, 4-22 as a starter? Improved recent play aside, it's not groundbreaking to say "he might not be the answer"

    Under Jerry RIchardson, the identity was always clear (with the exception of George Seifert). Defense first, run the ball. Under David Tepper, I haven't been able to figure out who this team is trying to be. At any point. What is the identity? Are they an offensive team because of an offensive head coach now? Are they a running team or a passing team? Have they made any indication about who they are even trying to be? Dan Morgan said something about "needing more dogs" or something like that but they have no identity. To quote Andrew Carnegie, "As I grow older, I pay less attention to what men say, I just watch what they do." What do the Panthers do? Lose football games. So I guess that's the identity.

    I’ve been encouraged in the past few weeks but I’ve been under no delusion that Bryce is the answer. He doesn’t win games.

    The entire team still sucks, it’s not just one thing. This is the worst team in all 4 professional sports leagues in the last 5 years. The person who needs to be fired is the dipshit owner who ruined this team.

    The cowboys could win this game without throwing a single pass. The Panthers could put all 11 players in the box and couldn’t stop the run.
