  1. The Falcons are the ONE team Bryce has a winning record against!
  2. Anthony Hill from Texas should be in strong consideration to be drafted by the Panthers
  3. Low key Daniel Jones still the same, Jonathan Taylor is the reason that offense is excellent. Darnold and Baker though, lights out.
  4. Man that sh*t aged like milk, Tepper gotta just go sail his yacht to Monaco and leave us alone.
  5. If he's available he's probably at least able to move the ball with his athleticism as a backup. That's probably why he's hanging around in the NFL still.
  6. Nah Bryce can’t throw over 200 yards unless it’s garbage time so once the score is out of hand on Sunday we might see some stat padding. I think falcons might dust them
  7. He has as much influence as he wants to have. He's the owner of the team and he has shown he can and will fire literally anyone who works for the team. So to answer your question, he has infinite influence. Does he exert that influence? Who knows.
  8. Not upgrading the backup position this offseason or drafting another QB was just mind-numbingly stupid. And now they have to back-track a season too late to rectify it. Could have had a more concrete answer on picking up Bryce's 5th year option out of necessity, without having any other options on the roster.
  9. Sometimes GMs try outsmart everyone by picking a player they think has the physical tools and can be coached up but Legette is an example what happens when that doesn't work out. Teams that are already contenders with a full roster can take those chances. The Eagles, for example, could have rolled the dice on a guy like Legette. But the Panthers needed, and still need, to draft guys who are ready to play now in the first round. Legette wasn't that guy and there were much better options available.
  10. I compared it to Rivera because I never felt like Rivera didn't have the players ready to play and give their best effort. There's some exceptions to that but by and large the Rivera era Panthers played hard even if they were outmatched in talent or in scheme. I don't feel the same way about the Canales era Panthers. It seems like you said, they get down against better teams and they give up. And I agree, I think it boils down to the QB, and the lack of faith the team has in Bryce even if it's unspoken. With the Rivera era Panthers, they had Cam Newton, who had the talent to break open any game with his talent alone. Bryce is the opposite, the rest of the team has to keep the game close and hope Bryce will make something happen in the 4th quarter to win it. But for every great 4th down conversion and 4th quarter comeback he makes, he makes 10 awful plays to but the team in losing situations in the first place. The bottom line is the team doesn't believe in Bryce and they're never going to be able to recover from that. It's done. Bryce will never be the guy, it's over, and unless he walks onto the field as a different QB than he's been his entire career including college, it will never change. He needs to be on a team with elite talent at every other position to even have a chance to be a winning QB in the NFL and that's not what you expect from a #1 overall pick, let alone one that the team traded multiple first round picks to acquire.
  11. I didn't hold my tongue...I was out on Bryce LONG before he was drafted by the Panthers. Bryce's game did not translate well to the NFL. I vividly remember the 2022 Texas vs. Alabama game as the prime example of why Bryce would never translate well to the NFL. That was one of the best defeses Alabama played that season, a big chunk of players from that Texas defense are playing in the NFL now, and Bryce struggled all game. If Quinn Ewers didn't get hurt in that game, Texas would have won and the entire Bryce narrative changes. If anyone wants a reminder, here's the highlights of the game. He looks like EXACTLY the same QB now. Nothing has changed. Another thing about this game is it might have been rigged. This sh*t still bothers me. Young got sacked for a safety and the refs bailed him out. Should have either been intentional grounding and a safety or just outright sacked.
  12. Canales is not consistent. Gritty wins are mixed with blowout losses, which means there is an inconsistent effort from the players, and inconsistent and insufficient game planning from the coaching staff. I would have liked to make the argument the team is just getting blown out by superior opponents like the Bills and Patriots, but losing to a 1-8 Saints team at home and the (now) 3-6 Cardinals were not consistent with that. It's a contrast to Ron Rivera's tenure as head coach where it seemed the players would generally give a consistent effort, but the coaching staff wouldn't always have a winning gameplan to beat the opponent. Which lead to some excrutiating close losses, especially early in Rivera's tenure as head coach. Canales is whiffing on both fronts in some games, leading to what seems like inexcusable blowout losses every other game.
  13. Honestly I think that having both of them out might have actually kept the Saints defense more off guard because they wouldn't know who to focus on. But Canales didn't really put together a new game plan either way.
  14. Yea I agree I gotta give it to Morgan for finally drafting a player who might develop and become a good player with the team. After years of Scott Fitterer’s garbage I’m hopeful they’re drafting at least a few players who will last more than 2 years on the team.
  15. I also think it was the coaching staff. The culture starts at the top. Canales bringing in Keegan Michael Key during a team meeting seems like a goofy distraction when the offense struggled to score any points and honestly scored 0 legit points if it weren’t for a LUCKY roughing the passer penalty.
  16. https://sports.yahoo.com/video/jaguars-move-trevor-lawrence-season-180557659.html Surprising they are souring on him one year after signing a massive extension, but is it even true? Either way Lawrence an upgrade over Bryce even with his issues. The Panthers roster is probably about the same as Jacksonville right now so it might not make a difference here. At least Lawrence can throw the ball past 20 yards.
  17. Believe me I was full in on Mayfield being garbage back then. Darnold I thought made too many mistakes but the arm talent was always there. He finally put it all together and of course it wasn’t on the Panthers
  18. The way this team has handled starting QBs since Tepper took over is ass backward. The only QB completion they had was a farce between Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield. What a blessing that QB room looks like right now.
  19. Richardson is made out of glass and not going to take care of his body well enough to last in the NFL. But maybe if he gets that in order he might be productive in the NFL. I just know if the Panthers drafted him over Young in 2023, he would already be out of the NFL due to injury.
  20. I'd take Steichen over Canales. The Colts played well even with all the injuries Anthony Richardson dealt with and playing journeymen QBs for most of his tenure as head coach. Anyone else remember that game the Colts played against the Panthers in 2023 where Bryce threw two pick 6's?
  21. Jonathan Taylor is better. For the main reason that he's been doing it longer and more consistently. Rico has shown he can have big games but he always looks like he's on the verge of an injury.
  22. Haha yea who might that be??? Tyler Warren might end up being the best TE in the NFL in a couple years. JT Sanders might not be in the NFL.
  23. We don't need to have Cam come back to save us, but his ghost is certainly making it hard to be satisfied with the garbage QB play the team has had since he left.
  24. Dalton used to be the literal line between a servicable/average QB and a QB that was not capable of being a starter in the NFL. It was literally called the Dalton Line for many years. He's just too old to play anymore. He knows what he needs to do, he just can't physically do it anymore. It's sad to see and I wouldn't call it Ass, it's just "should retire" tier.
  25. I don't think this is the main issue to discuss because there's a bigger problem. I said this before the Saints game that as soon as a team sells out to stop Dowdle from beating them, we're all going to be reminded of how bad Bryce Young really is. The Saints had a very clear defensive gameplan to absolutely not let Dowdle beat them. They stacked the box and stayed home in the pass rush which caused Bryce to have several balls smacked down at the line and Bryce struggled to see the field. If it weren't for the roughing the passer penalty they wouldn't have scored a single point.
