  1. I'm leaning that way also. I never wanted to trade up, and generally hate losing draft capital (especially in rounds 1 and 2). That being said, how could I really get mad at acquiring Deshaun Watson if it happens? If you make a move like that, you just tighten your belts for a time, be smart and particular about your choices for a time, get through it and move on.
  2. Give him the weapons some of these guys had, and I'll take Marino and whip all your asses! I will say this though: Brady's weapons weren't all-world.
  3. Oh, I misunderstood. You're talking about his initial playoff runs.
  4. Well, that just means that you don't know what you're talking about. They're different receivers with different strengths. Anyone that can't understand that is not interested in analysis, just pure favoritsm. So, yeah, there is no point in arguing.
  5. And I'm telling you that CMC was run into the ground by bad play calling that actually caused his efficiency to suffer. How many times did you see him run into a pile? That's not a favor! Give me a break!
  6. Teddy didn't do Robbie any favors either, but you don't see anyone else focused on one receiver on one play. Bottom line is that PFF, Football Outsiders and NGS rated Adams as either tops or near-tops in the league. Come on, man! They don't base it on just pure yardage either. D.J. will have to step his game up to be on Adams' level. I can't believe you're even arguing the point.
  7. You already know that CMC is valued for his rushing, but even more so for his yards from scrimmage. Three-down backs that are prolific runners and receivers are all the rage. Neither Shula or Turner did CMC any favors. Some do believe that you can use a back too much, and thereby cause diminishing returns.
  8. Why do you keep cherry picking one play? I doubt anyone but an employee of PFF has that kind of information. No one on the Huddle has that type of info unless maybe they work for PFF or possibly the Panthers.
  9. You know there's way more to it than that, but I wasn't the one dogging out CMC before he came here, and I didn't dog out Cook either!
  10. Well not me. I'd aready looked it up. That's why I said "not quite." Go to Pro Football Reference and look at their averages per touch. CMC is at 5.8 and Cook is at 5.4. That's fairly significant stats-wise.
  11. I don't know about that. CMC was the better back in college, and so far is the better back in the pros. Cook is almost as good, but not quite!
  12. Yeah, I remember when you were dogging CMC out before we drafted him. We went back and forth over CMC and Dalvin Cook. You didn't know more than the professionals then.
  13. LOL. You know more than the people who do this for a business now. Unbelievable!
  14. I know that, but (not trying to be a homer) you also have to take into account our guys as well. We had a very good receiving corps this year. Sure they take some targets away, but they also took pressure away. Does DJ really have the game to carry the receiving corps like Adams did? Does he have the nuanced moves like even rookie Justin Jefferson? Come on, man! D.J. is going to have to raise it a level! In my opinion, even someone like Samuel seems to play with more of a "killer" attitude, sense of urgency, and appears to be a more polished route runner! Mind you, I'm not saying that DJ isn't a very good receiver, but he's going to have to step up his game to be ranked higher.
  15. And yet, NGS, Football Outsiders and PFF consider Adams second to none, with PFF and Football Outsiders ranking Moore about the same give or take four spots. I'd bet that if we could see a rank by NGS, they'd probably have Moore I'm the same area! Hell, even if you just run down receivers in your mind on each team, DJ would likely be around 20 to 25 in reference to route running and hands (and I haven't even mentioned efficiency and productivity). Stop being a homer. D.J. is a good receiver, but he's going to have to step his game up to be considered part of the cream of the crop.
  16. Let's see what NGS has to say about Adams: "Adams was just as special as Diggs in 2020 when teaming up with Aaron Rodgers; he even landed on my list of top 10 MVP candidates last week, for good reason. Adams owned a catch rate over expectation of +9.9 percent and helped Rodgers post an incredible 136 passer rating when targeting him, which was far and away the best mark in the entire league when it comes to targeting one receiver. Adams' 18 touchdowns helped power that statistic, and he was also the most productive receiver on a per-route basis, gaining 3.1 yards per route run. Adams paired his typically elite route running with stellar outside performance, catching 13 of his touchdowns on targets outside the numbers and winning the perimeter." https://www.nfl.com/news/next-gen-stats-based-2020-nfl-all-pro-team-offense
  17. So PFF is about the same as Football Outsiders. Wow! Ain't that a bitch?
  18. Funny thing is, guess which receiver is rated the top receiver in the NFL by Football Outsiders? Moore is 20th!
  19. Yep! Like it or not, they're market leaders! Give credit to Collinsworth if you like! PFF is not the only one, but ALL 32 teams use their service! Next Gen Stats (the NFL) was created in large part due to the success of PFF. Some of the guys you mentioned aren't looking at every play for every player and "grading" players as much as they're basically compiling stats. Don't hate on PFF for obviously better marketing!
  20. PFF is the best and most extensive NFL metrics company out there in regards to grading players. They may not "lean on it", but as a whole, the NFL "leans" on PFF more than other services.
  21. NFL franchises---probably all of them now---pay PFF for their services! And, they do it for a reason! They're a tool to be used in congruence with others, and I'm sure that professionals evaluate even more things within the context of each individual player. Don't get their stats and grades confused with their overall rankings which are obviously a little more subjective.
